I was on the main site & a box appeared bottom right, normally grey but this morning it was yellow & said click to chat. No on the subs page - but page where you see free gifts etc.

Got it sorted & email confirm. When go to my account it now shows dd logo on payment details

Can anyone confirm if issues 3 and 4 have been allocated on the their My Subscriptions part of the Hachette website?
The "Send us your payment details" email said Wednesday was the last day to do so and the next Who issues have gone on that sub, but I want to make sure they definitely haven't added the card (again) and aren't sending me the next two before kicking off.

I think they update it every 4 weeks - so mine says 30/12/16 so should be 4 weeks later. But you should only have payment for 1 issue then end of next month be 2 issues

Four weeks after 30/12 would have been yesterday. Still, if everyone else's still only has 1 and 2 on it I won't panic yet.

But it isn't showing on my bank account 30/1/17 so maybe a week to process. So that would mean we pay for 2 issues the week before you get the parcel when the site says you pay after they post out.

Yeah, mine is on there as well, also backdated to the 27th.
They're also asking for payment as, yes indeed, they still don't have my details...

I phoned Hachette last week and sorted out my direct debit, and received a letter today from them confirming that a direct debit has been set up.
Looks like this tedious saga has been put to bed...for me at least.

It is now showing up on my bank. But be getting upto #10 on subs then getting #11-16 from whsmith because got £60 vouchers.

I contacted them on the live chat and the bloke admitted they were having website problems for people who subscribed during the trial process, they reissued me issues 1-4 and checked my account, the direct debit logo is now on my account so I'm hoping its sorted.

Used the chat thing today. Monica claimed to sort out my address issue (though at the time of typing some hours later it still shows up as the wrong one on the website hmmm) but I'd have to phone to sort out payment details.
Phoned, and they took the 9.99 owed (though at the time of typing some hours later it still shows as oweing and nothing's come out of my bank account yet. But fuck'em, as far as I'm concerned, they said it's paid, it's paid), but when I tried to arrange a Direct Debit they said that they were having technical issues and would call me back.
They did not call me back.

I dont know if its relevant but my account shows two subscriptions one is the trial and the other the main release no idea how I wound up with two except that when I was struggling to add subscription I used the two different numbers I found, one from the email confirmation and the other from the invoice of the first issues of the trial. Even though both came to me via the trial they seem to have become different subs.
Is this how they've done everyones?

Quick question about subscription offers.
Well all the questions. How often do Hachette do them, what sort of things do they do? How much are they? etc etc.
I ask because Im weighing up just buying from the shops for as long as they are stocked. Id much rather buy one issue a fortnight than 2 every month.

You could make a regular reservation at your newsagent. They'll be able to get all issues fortnightly for the length of the run. You'd be able to subscribe from any issue from their website, but the free gifts only apply if it's from issue 1-4.

I can get it through work which saves me money, but I cant reserve it which limits me to as long as they stock it and in fairness they still get the marvel one 130 something issues in so if I start buying now theres no reason it should be a problem. But even if it did stop in the mean time it would save me £2 a month. I wasnt thinking about the free gifts Ive already got he first few and honestly dont care about them that much, but I thought someone had referred to subscription only bonus books or something that popped up during the run. They sounded more interesting . |
