Tried to cancel my sub via the website, got a confirmation e-mail addressed to someone else and with a different sub code than mine. So I've possibly cancelled someone else's sub, sorry Mrs Sinnott. How do you cancel via the website? When I cancelled my Judge Dredd one a few months ago, I had to ring up to do it. Couldn't see a link to cancel anywhere on my account. Tempted to cancel and purchase through my newsagent instead. If I can do it easily via the website, think I might do that but I'm not faffing around ringing up and waiting on hold again!

If you go to the My Account page when you log in, under the big My Account is some text ending in a link saying "please click here so we can assist you". Then fill out the contact form with the "cancel my subscription" subject. Further to my cancellation problems, I e-mailed them back to say they had the wrong name and sub number, and asked them to confirm they had cancelled mine giving my name and sub number again. To which they replied again calling me Mrs Sinnott and confirming they had cancelled her sub number... Another e-mail telling them to read what I had actually written finally got a response confirming they had cancelled my sub, and my online account also now lists my account status as cancelled. Shoddy.

Shoddy. Cheers mate. I'll sort that over the weekend. Yep, that is spectacularly shoddy. Have to say, I am genuinely shocked. Before the TF partwork began I had nothing but nice things to say about Hachette. No issues whatsoever with the Judge Dredd partwork, always replaced damaged books quickly, no questions asked. This thread has been a real eye opener, and I've suffered some of these foobars myself (multiple attempts to input card details, house number missing, etc). Way to go tanking your rep.

Well, when I popped into Exeter today to collect my comics from the comic store (small haul this week - just the new issue of The Punisher plus a couple of Star Wars comics a mate at work asked me to grab for him), I took a look in WH Smiths to see if #11 was there. I was about to conclude it wasn't, when I spotted a lone copy in with a load of Beatles Partworks, and a lonely looking Warhammer book. I wavered slightly, feeling I should cancel my subscription before I bought it, just in case they manage to feck it up and charge me for #11 & 12. But as it was the only copy I figured feck it, someone will have bought it by the time I next go in so grabbed it. Felt nice to buy it off the shelf for a change.
Just went onto the Hachette website to cancel my subscription and fired off a cancellation request. Whilst I was there, I took a look at my Transformers account and my address is now almost non-existant on there. Under my main account settings it's correct, under my already cancelled Judge Dredd subscription it is correct, under the Transformers one it is now:
First initial of my surname (!) followed by whole of my first name First line of my address minus the house number Post code That's it!
Needless to say, I am already not regretting cancelling after seeing that. What an absolute shambles! I'll be adding a regular order for the collection to my standing orders at the local newsagent when I am in town tomorrow. Roll on 31st May and #12!

Yeah, I believe the address thing affected a lot of people. It was mentioned in here around the corrected copy of Issue 1 going out so I went on to the site to check mine and it was incorrect. E-mailed them to correct it, which they say they did, but it wasn't fully correct on my next shipment [#9+10], and wasn't corrected when I cancelled.

Latest delivery here today: Issues 11 & 12, bookends. Both are Decepticon logos. Is that the same for everyone? (that is, those who got the actual TF bookends?)
Address also now correct though name is back to front, not too worried.

Today I recieved issues 9 and 10. With the bookends, one of each faction. AND mostly the correct address. (They've missed a line out, but name, house number and postcode are there, so I guess that'll do)
<edit> Oh yeah, and my name is backwards, too!

Yeah they told me when I cancelled that the address thing was known about and had been fixed, but when my replacements where sent out (seperately) both still had my name backwards and continued to miss my house number.

Arrrggghhhh! Bloody Hachette! Despite cancelling my subscription, them confirming my subscription was cancelled TWO WEEKS AGO, got home from work to find a parcel with #11 & #12 in it. I've already bought these in the newsagent!
Address still wrong too, though they have somehow remembered the town I live in so:
Name (back to front) Street (minus house number) Town Postcode
It's like they're a completely different company to the one I subscribed to the Judge Dredd Collection with. From faultless to incompetent in one easy subscription.
Stroppy email primed and ready...

So, turns out they charged my card on the 19th May - 3 days before I cancelled and 2 weeks before they they were dispatched. They said nothing about this when I cancelled and I (clearly stupidly) thought I'd cancelled in time. The 24th was the cut off date they gave us back in January for giving them our card details when the collection went from trial to actual thing, so had no reason to assume it was anything different.
But anyway, they said if I sent them back they'd refund. I did that today so hopefully all sorted and won't happen again.

Today's comedy moment from Hachette: still no letter of confirmation that my subscription has been cancelled, or email to confirm my refund for the 2 books I returned, but they have sent me a letter to warn me that the debit card I use to pay for my subscription is about to expire.
That'll be the one that expires in February 2021. Not my idea of soon personally.

Still on subs, last delivery was 1st July so expecting one this weekend with 15 & 16 Still annoyed it shifted this way so I get the books after their shelf debut - I began my sub with #3 & #4 but then waited six weeks for delivery two and five weeks for some since then. I don't think there's anyone getting books sooner than that though? Anyone?

I used to get the books on the same day they were released in store. Generally 3-4 days later now.

I'm waiting for 15 and 16. I actually popped on here to see if anyone's had arrived. My 13 and 14 arrived about 1st July.

My postie 'attempted' to deliver 15/16 yesterday by putting a 'you were not in' card through the letter box. While I was in.
Will pick up tomorrow and see if mine has the error in as well.

19 & 20 here today in line with what some users had posted to the FB page they had been told. No message for the rest of us tho.

Yeah, I've skipped two issues as well. Will have to look at the FB page. Considering they've got our contact details, some sort of automated email (or note in the packaging!) wouldn't have been so hard. Fucking amature hour. Again.

In the end I had to chase up my refund for the 2 issues they sent me after I cancelled the subscription. Finally got my refund - by cheque!
On a more positive note, it's good to hear they finally seem to be shipping books more promptly. If some of you are getting 19 & 20 only a few days after 19 hit the shelves that's great news. The main reason I cancelled was they weren't arriving until a few days after the second one hit the shelves, so now I just get them ordered in by the newsagent along with my 2000ad, JD Megazine & DWM.
I subscribed to the new 2000ad Collection one (thought long and hard about it - not sure I can justify buying 3 partworks plus dipping into the Who one on occasion as well, but thought I'd at least subscribe until the free gifts run out). Initial impression is that one is going to be as well organised as the Judge Dredd one. Got my first subscribers parcel only 2 days after #1 hit the shops. Reports I've heard indicate that #2 failed to reach newsagents this week though, so maybe I spoke too soon. Very odd as I got my subscription copy so promptly so can't be a printing delay.
