Who's updating the contents in the first post? Issue 3 is wrong, it's UK 198 not 199.
And #5 is War Within #1-6.

I can confirm that I've not edited the table at all. My text is only the first part
"It'll be seeing if the cover gallery includes Lee Sullivan Robin Smith covers too. That's the only thing that need to be altered. "
That was relating to #1 the missing Uk covers

I'm thinking the new colouring works better on Survivors than Race. I think with the later Wildman left a lot of the backgrounds for the colourist to sort out (his close up art is great though, Starscream in particular), but Bove is a bit too faithful so there's still lots of empty blank voids, they're just sometimes pink rather than white. Race With The Devil was coloured US-style, because it directly preludes a US arc. Survivors was done with the more varied UK palette. It's not a case of better or worse, but a deliberate differentiation of methods.

Issue 4 appeared in my local WH Smiths today. They seem to have dropped the card backing now.
I didn't buy it, but was surprised to see an additional piece of paper in the cellophane. It explained the spine error on #1 and told the reader to buy #7 for a free replacement. Given that many readers won't make it to the end of the series, I'm impressed they're making this effort to make people aware of the error & correct it.

Nice. Having bought issue 3, I've discovered by T2006 is a bodged one, so here's hoping Smiths are still stocking this by issue 7.

I got the 4 Trial issues. I will skip TWW and Escalation and try to get the Perchance to Dream volume if any newsagents are still stocking it then.

I wonder if we will still get the pixellated page on issue 4 of War Within we've had with every trade version of it.

I wonder if we will still get the pixellated page on issue 4 of War Within we've had with every trade version of it. And the low res badly scanned pages of some of issue 6. If Hachette is using the same files as IDW, then yes we will! -Ralph

Only reprint I've got is the DW pocket book tho, so I'll be sure and look out for a difference then the new one hits.

The scans IDW use for the Dreamwave stuff always look like they were done by an intern on their lunch break. Considering digital colouring of the time can often look a bit soft (Stormbringer doesn't look that sharp despite presumably being done from IDW's own masters) it often winds up at best serviceable.
I have to say I'm really enjoying the Edge book as I make my way through it. You know, I wouldn't have wanted every issue like that, but as a one off Human Factor's art is pleasingly nuts. And Rhythms is comfortably Delbo's best work, great to see him go out on a high.
EDIT: Random thought: As they're technically G1 (shoehorned in Grimlock), I wonder if those terrible Beast Wars comics will be included? I suppose from the POV of them having had a British newstand printing and Beast Wars being the only TF cartoon to have been shown in full on British terrestrial TV means there'd be an audience for it...

If G2 didn't make the cut I'll be annoyed if BW does.
But BW, G2 and the 3 years of IDW from now might be enough to extend the series by an extra 6-12 months which I wouldnt complain about.

I bought issue #4. I knew I'd regret it if I didn't and ended up with a run of volumes containing black and white strips in colour, with one volume missing in their midst. Roll on Perchance to Dream!

I guess with Raiders it'll be easier to recolour the whole thing than try and match the existing colour pages exactly? I'd be down with that, visually for me it's the weakest of the three original UK stories and the colour always felt a bit rushed.

Unless the original art exists for the coloured pages, that would be very difficult.

JP has not recoloured the pages that are already done, he has matched up with what has already been done.
As Ralph says unless they had the original art or film for the issues in question it would be difficult. Also, we know they don't have access to it. Remember the plan for IDW's plan for their second run of Classics trades was to be like the Marvel Essentials line and to be b & W until they discovered they had no film and turned it over to the oafs who "remastered" the artwork.

They attempted to correct errors by Yomtov and made several of their own and also thickened the black outline on the pages and basically distorted the original lineart.
Like I said, oafs.
