I do hope that's a Hellraiser reference. We all know what Cyclonus says about hope...

1. What should I list as the release date for the issue? Would it be Wednesday the 10th? I think the release dates are normally listed as the 'street' date when it hits shops, that should still be the 17th. I seem to recall there being a few instances of subscribers getting the issues early in the past but the official date has still been the one listed. [/quote] Thanks. I'll leave it as that. By the way, I listed the bonus content in TFwiki as: 93 | 90 | Beast Wars: The Gathering | Beast Wars: The Gathering #1–4
and material from Transformers: Beast Wars Sourcebook | An introduction by Ben Yee, a 2-page "Unleash the Beast Wars" feature detailing the origins of the show and toyline, a 3-page "Creating the BW-Verse" interview with Bob Forward, a 2-page "The (G1) roots of the Beast Wars" feature detailing the G1 elements in the show, 4 pages of Don Figueroa's design sketches, and a reprint of the "Optimus Primal vs Megatron!" toy pack-in comic. | 17/06/2020 |
The individual issues will mention the cover gallery and Furman's intro also. I'd like to get more specific with the Sourcebook content if someone's willing to type it out.

I'm currently at work but as soon as I'm finished I can list out which character profiles are included and their order.

How is it they've included this but not the original Marvel TF Universe profiles? Martin

It doesn't seem to be an alternate cover. Is it supplemental art? No idea, guessing it might be artwork for an Optimal Optimus profile for the original Sourcebook? (If there was such a profile?) Otherwise I don't know. And yeah, it's a shame we didn't get books reprinting Transformers Universe and the More than Meets the Eye profiles. I would have rather we had the last three volumes reprinting the new IDW canon kept out and instead had Tf vs Visionaries, Shining Knight, Armada 1-7 (I understand why they weren't included but having the rest of the series and not this is a shame), and if they condensed the Devils Due material down to 2 volumes (like the IDW trades did) and maybe the Beast Wars stuff into one we could have had room for them.

It's from the IDW Beast Wars Sourcebook, issue 3. Google tells me that it was drawn by Don, but I don't have a copy of the Sourcebook to confirm from the credits page.

I'm 99% sure lineart is by Don, as it is close to his other work of that character (issue 1 of The Gathering) and colors most likely by Josh Burcham. That's what I'll put on the wiki page until contradicted (hopefully confirmed).

It's definitely Don. The BW Sourcebooks sounded like they were a big ol' mess to get organised, with more art than needed of some characters being drawn and none of others that later had to be rushed. When it was collected as a trade a lot of the art was replaced altogether. I'm guessing this Optimus is a product of that.

As far as IDW's Beast Wars saga, was a followup to Ascending ever planned? If they could get Don back or even Guido, I'd buy it.
The IDW 2005 universe ending wouldn't even be a problem since this is a separate continuity.

Did they list credits for each bit of artwork?

Each of the individual issues had a contents page that credited the artists for each character, though they're reportedly not very accurate. The bit that gave me pause in identifying it as Don was that it doesn't have his signature on, the covers to issues 1 and 2 are also him, and they do. But that could just mean that the team putting the issue together removed it for some reason.

Yeah, the trade has a double page list of artists and characters. But I've had it signed by every arists in there I've met, and every one of them has said the list is nonsense and the job itself was a nightmare.

G2 Part 1 obtained, again by paying over the odds. Could someone please tell me the proper way (and time) for securing Part 2 so I don't have to do it by trawling eBay after the fact?

I will be keeping an eye on the Hachette page for when it is listed with a publication date so I can swoop at that time to order it. Still gutted I missed out on the Movie volume.

There are two copies of the Movie volume currently available for auction on eBay.
Never read the Budiansky Movie adaptation before. Nice to see Snarl present throughout, and the Special Teams / Omega Supreme splash page is a bit random. Apart from that, and editing Shrapnel out of the Junk scene, it's pretty much a straight copy-and-paste of the Movie as released.

Martin I snagged mine via a preorder on Forbidden planet so worth keeping an eye out there. Will alert folks when its up.

Got to the newsagent today and found Issue 90 was in. We're obviously back to a fortnightly schedule now, which is great news. Should be complete by end of November as there are only 10 issues to go. Here's a rough idea of how things look though. I've used a few of the 2000ad collection volumes to mark the gaps out roughly (I'm only cherry picking those and getting material I don't have as collections elsewhere):

Wow. Their print run on recent issues can't be much above subs.
My BW copy arrived today. Dinged corners and the glue sounds like it wants to come out! A very creaky book.

It amazes me that Asda and other retailers can get their copies on the shelf in usually pristine condition, but Hachette cant post them without causing damage.
They do seem to Find/print more for their half price sales so hopefully we'll all be able to fill gaps at some point in the future. Better do anyway, Im gonna be pissed if I end up four or five short in November and either cant find or cant find for a reasonable amount.

I think most shops only keep stocking them if they sell out consistantly. One Asda stopped at issue 10, the other seems to have at least 2 or 3 customers for them, more for certain issues, so has kept going.
