Does it still have the badly scanned pages at the end (when Prime throws away his CD-ROM)?

Which specific issue was it? I'll check next time I'm in the vault.

I've been in the vault. Page 10 of issue 5 looks just like the images in the tweets on the last page, but that's the only page in the book with noticeable pixellation. The rest is fine.
Mind you, flicking through those old Dreamwave comics, the reproduction isn't up to much anyway.

Issue 5 yet to be sighted in my neck of the woods. Asdaland still has piles of issue 4.

Is that the final cover to the RG1 volume??? Dunno, these are usually place holders. Can't say I'm a fan of the covers. Tempted to create some 3rd party add ons [dust jackets].

Nah, the last two are placeholders. I think RG1 is the final image.

Notice preview list them Volumes not issues, meaning we need to guess volumes. RG1 should be in 4 volumes then - so 23-27? I guess #11,12 should be near each other
#11 149-150 & some of US issues Toy soldiers #12 174-197 range.
Volume range 10-15

Could add what the actual content was then too. Actually, these TF ones will likely take up less space if issue 5 is anything to go by, page count wise.

They should have done a dust jacket for #1. I did post it to them but they are doing the full reprint for the spine.

According to the announcement on Hachette's Facebook page, the Escalation volume also includes the Six Shot & Ultra Magnus Spotlight issues. Also has Starscream on the cover.

Don't remember Megatron featuring in Target: 2006 much either. I assumed the cover stars were random rather than story related anyway.

He actually had quite a decent role as temporary Autobot leader, but yeah, I mean clearly it should be Galvatron on the cover! It feels like such a dumb thing, they've clearly spent a lot of time and effort on the contents, just to slap on random pictures to the covers!

its blatantly to sell comics, the majority of the audience will know the transformers on the front but will probably either never realise they aint in the story, or not be bothered by the minor details!

But... you'd think that the sort of person who would be wanting to invest in a complete set of Transformer comics would know the difference between Megatron and Galvatron. And I'd assume Hatchette have a library of these images which cover most of the characters, so it's not like they have no Galvatron art! And... really, the amount of non-fans who actually recognise characters outside of well, Prime and Bumblebee is surprisingly small. Lots of people don't know what G1 Megatron looks like, and I've seen guys like Brawn and Jazz and Grimlock mentioned in 'super obscure Transformers' discussions.

Don't forget the stock images they're working from were designed for general PR purposes. So there's going to be a focus on the more recognisable characters and (unless they branch out for the source material) we're more likely to have ten different Optimus Prime's on covers than one Nightbeat. Or even a Hoist. Certainly I don't think we'll be seeing anyone past 87/wasn't in the cartoon.
Some fun stuff coming up, nice to see Bob getting his dues on books being named after his issues. Amused to see my least favourite Furman thing in Reg and a strong contender for his best work in Legacy will be back to back.
Probably old news I've missed, but was interested to see from them sponsoring the new Mission Log podcast that the Eaglemoss Trek partwork is getting an American release. Which suggests it's feasible for the TF one as well, at least in terms with IDW being fine for these things to come out on their home turf (Hachette may have the old issue with the volumes with Marvel characters there depending on their licence though).

Fair Point, maybe we should ask Furman etc

Don't remember Megatron featuring in Target: 2006 much either. I assumed the cover stars were random rather than story related anyway. The covers use images from a style guide produced several years ago for licencees, which is why the character selection is random as they are using a limited pool of images. You'll see these robot images on other media such as DVD's, T-shirt and general merch. -ralph
