Gah! Fuck ticketmaster. Signed up for verified fan to try getting Springsteen on Broaway tickets. Got an email this morning saying I had been selected and would receieve a code later on. I did not recieve a code. The tickets have been on sale for 45 minutes, so I am not getting tickets. If I had not been selected that would be fine. If I was selected, got the code, but still was unable to buy tickets for the price I was wanting to pay, thats fine also. But being selected and then not getting the chance to buy the tickets is pissing me off. Seems everyone outside of North America is in the same boat, not that makes me any happier. signed up with 4 emails over 4 phone numbers and got put on standby twice, never received any codes shame

1. Sumo Cyco - Devilskin - Eva Plays Dead 2. Skindred - Raging Speedhorn 3. Download Festival 4. Devin Townsend Project - Tesseract - Leprous 5. Dick Valentine - ? - Prime - Itty Bitty Committee I forget the third act on's name, silly me. Good fun, plenty of bantz (as they apparently say) and not even all the hits! Odd venue tho. Just out of interest, without Googling it, what's the first word in Gay Bar? 6. Avenged Sevenfold - Disturbed - In Flames

Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me, too. But I'm in a quiet argument with a friend who hears something else.

To be fair, something like that you want on bluray and CD. So that's thirty quid. Another twenty for a bonus disc and some collectables? Hrm... Very tempting.

1. Sumo Cyco - Devilskin - Eva Plays Dead 2. Skindred - Raging Speedhorn 3. Download Festival 4. Tony Wright Bradford's finest was in fine voice, and despite a depressingly small crowd put on an occasionally hilarious show. Drawing heavily from his two solo albums with some crowd-pleasers dropped here and there. You owe it to yourself to see him in such intimate spaces. 5. Devin Townsend Project - Tesseract - Leprous 6. Dick Valentine - ? - Prime - Itty Bitty Committee 7. Avenged Sevenfold - Disturbed - In Flames

First reviews of Springsteen on Broadway floating about the net, torn between reading and avoiding at all costs.

My brother really enjoyed their live show.
Ive just got to avoid forum type Springsteen reviews, when the show opens officially next week I'll maybe glance at the proper media reviews.
Still disappointed to be missing Good Charlotte and Shatner but have got tickets to see Biffy while Im away. I'd probably be more excited about it if it wasnt the the third time I'll be seeing them in the last 12 months.

And because I'm on a roll... I'm also going to see Warrior Soul in Brum in November. Good times all round, I think.

biffy playing in NY as well? jammy bugger!! Actually in Boston (Im doing Botcon 2007 in reverse) a small venue and tickets were only £25. But yes Jammy Bugger!! Not quite a gig but Phil has pointed out An Evening with Brian Blessed touring early next year. I forgot to buy a ticket to an appearance in Manchester in January which sold out. Will not be making that mistake again. Just need to choose a date.

Pinwig is having an exciting moment of technological discovery.
Warrior Soul? He thought. Never heard of them. To the tube of you he went, and found a playlist. Then his tablet said, cast this to the TV? So he did. So now Warrior Soul play on the TV and pinwig can comment on Urzu's excellent musical taste on his tablet at the same time.
Amazing! Pinwig can control a YouTube playlist on his tablet and have it appear on the TV by magic!

Yeah man, been a favorite of mine since I was small. Kory's (the singer) voice is, to put it bluntly, fooked these days, but a chance of catching the band in a Birmingham sweatbox couldn't really be missed.
