I didn't think Seekers became a term until the 90's?

Seekers is just the English (US) spelling for Strike Planes I think you'll find.

It's the same word, even! All you need to do is change the T and R into Es, drop the I, change the P into R, the L into S, and drop ANE, and it's Seeker! It's literally the same word, even!

1) I went looking for a strike planes thread and could not find one! My thanks to whoever found me the thread that a search for titles with Strike in it failed to find! 2) I assume that was after Mr Jetty launched his new thread on the same subject which, even despite the obvious bias shown in the poll options, I have now merged with this one in a particularly nifty piece of GodModNess. 3) However the original title stands!

Seekers or Strike Planes? CHOOSE! Engaging Definitions mode: Searching Dictionary: Search Results:- Seekers: the things mounted on the ends of missiles like Sidewinders or Storm Shadows, which are often carried by strike aircraft. Some Decepticon/Destron jets are strike aircraft, like Hydra/Darkwing or the CW Blast Off, and some are air superiority aircraft like 1984 Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker... Decepticon Hunter-Seeker Skyships are vehicles/sentient transformers observed in the "Return to Cybertron" story-arc in the Marvel comic. Blaster trashes several. Seekers are Transformers in the continuity of the ROFD movie who are charged with finding a device for disassembling stars by sucking out the plasma (or the strange spindle shaped object called the "Matrix of Leadership" which is apparently a sort of key for the space vaccumn cleaner) :-) Karl

Apparently no fun allowed. It was meant to be it's own thread so I wouldn't be an asshole to muck up this one. I also don't Appreciate my self deprecating joke now perminantly attached to something I now have no control over.

I agree, bad Phil! The first post is important as it gives context to the poll! Without it, it's a random weird poll on a normal thread! Maybe we need to make deliberately misplaced threads for Phil to move about so he can keep himself happy?

It was I who moved Phil's new thread into this thread!

Seeing the Siege Rainmakers - tmukhub.proboards.com/post/375191/thread - this morning got me thinking about how many times the Strike Planes have been done in Generations... 1) Classics DeluxeAll 3 1984 Jets & All 3 1985 Jets + Acid Storm at retail plus NUMEROUS Con/Club exclusive repaints.
See tfwiki.net/wiki/Starscream_(G1)/toys#Classics and the Classics mold: Seeker box you can expand underneath.
Mould for the toys is considered to be toast now. 2) RTS Legends (now Legions)All 3 1984 Jets, in varying forms. Skywarp hasn't been done with the add on null rays for the jet. 3) FOC TetrajetsJust All 3 1984 Jets I think 4) T30/CW LegendsAll 3 1984 Jets + Acid Storm 5) CW LeadersAll 3 1984 Jets, made from T30 Jetfire. Far too big! 6) CW Deluxe LimbJust Starscream thus far, and then as jet clear Ghost, SG and Golden Lagoon Bling but not his proper colours 7) Voyager/Combiner TorsoJust Starsceam so far 8) Siege VoyagersAll 3 1984 Jets + Acid, Ion & Nova Storms + Redwing.... so far! Did I miss anyone? Any chance we could have Voyagers - which is probably the right size - with something resembling their Earth alt modes next? (Named Strike Plane Wiki links, generated during Siege Redwing's release, added to first post while I was here) Personally I'd have liked to have seen them with Titanmaster Pilots/Heads, but that might be asking too much now!

I am kinda really surprised we didn't get a TR seeker retool from either Windblade or Triggerhappy. Triggerhappy would have done the whole tetrajet thing so much better than Siege has, even.

Due to the demand for transformers in the 80’s hasbro trusted other toy compaines to make transformers for them. In Italy the had GIG and in Mexico they had IGA. Unfortunately for hasbro they had numerous problems with Mexican transformers. Not only did some of them use toxic paints but more interestingly they actually made some which had a few differences to the uk/USA release. Like this thundercracker. Making them extremely rare. I have the red footed Optimus Prime and the Hoist with Trailbreaker head. Also the red face Twin Twist. And a yellow Jetfire, but I don't think that is actually a variant.

The tweet linked in the post. No idea of which mag/publication and when. The colours on the 85 jets is the same as used on the mountain display picture which has the odd coloured 85 minibots

Yes I know it's from a tweet but seeing stuff shared online without the source being acknowledged (ie within that tweet) sets my teeth on edge.
