It is indeed. But that doesn't mean it isn't impressive.

I can look past this quite easily. Had it been the more knight-like AOE Prime, or TLK one, maybe.
I might be in trouble if they do a Megatron this good though. He's about the only movie design that has impressed me.

I've got the Leader Nightmare Megatron which is brilliant, if you can get that cheap enough I'd definitely recommend that.

"including die cast parts" I'm kind of amused by the "all the [...] details you expect from a Masterpiece figure, including Die-cast parts". I personally don't associate die-cast metal parts with Masterpiece toys. I think there is some in MP Grimlock, and their are a few incidental metal parts in Star Saber, but Starscream and Skywarp are 99% plastics, so looking at my collection my expectations would have been "trace amounts of die-cast". :-) Karl

I don't have any movie Megatrons, although THE BEST one dies look good. Movie isn't really my thing, but I do have two sets of all the Dinobots. Although it's not scale accurate, I quite fancy a display of the new TLK leader Megs taking on the Voyager/Deluxe Dinobots. Actually, that should really be Shockwave. Arg, nooooo... Not buying loads of film toys... Someone get TR wave 4 in stock quick!

Well that pisses me off. I was assuming that these were just re-paints and minor re-tools, which I could happily ignore. Especially since I have the Buster version of RotF Prime, which - annoying transformation aside - is a thing of pure beauty.
But this... yeah. This actually looks better. For me the immediate thing seems to be that whilst the legs look to be the same (and I'm glad, I love that crazy leg transformation) they've fixed all the issues I had with the torso transformation - the main issue with that being where you have to forcibly pop the very fragile-feeling chest windows into the center of the chest, I didn't like that all. So this... looks like it might be less terrifying to transform.
I still need to see more pictures of the features before I go crazy and order it - like how the Matrix storage works (which is the only reason I picked up the Voyager Battle Blads Prime - it was the only one that had a Matrix!). But... yeah. It's gorgeous, and I will be 'avin' that.
Although that said, I am slightly put off by his new labia abs...

If they have used die-cast for all the scary thin bits, then it looks tempting, if not it looks terrifying and will probably shatter like glass

Okay, I didn't really care about the bulky back on Buster Prime. But... yeah. That looks so good. I can't not get this. It'd be illegal not to. Or something.

I used to work in marketing and sat next to the web and design guys, the amount of times I heard the word Pantone in a day would drive you mental.
