That Megatron from the side is hysterical.

Well the vehicles look right to my knowledge. Part of Starscream's weird gorilla design is to keep him from being unreasonably huge.
But I was expecting Blackout's robot to be much bigger.

How big is it then? Bigger or smaller than the Studio Series one?

I know, right? Everyone involved at every point (including fans commenting on other boards) seems to believe everyone has an inate understanding of how big these toys are.
I saw someone putting up pictures of the Studio Blackout and Starscreams without any MPs, as somehow proof of the size of the MPs.

Well he is from that old, classic film, Transformers, so there's some prestige around it, hence why they can justify that price. Or they're mad and haven't noticed how many of the Movie "Masterpieces" have ended up on deep clearance. One of the two.

Suspect the good Kaptain is the one to ask about fighter jet scale. Ok, so I am a bit late. The relative lengths of the F-22 and MH-53 modes look to be about right. Just in terms of "eyeball scale". The MH-53, and its predecessors and descendants, is a fairly big helicopter, and although the F-22 is fairly sizeable for a single seat fast jet, it isn't that much longer than an F-15 - which is distinctly shorter than an -53. (Also, comparing the size of the side hatch on Blackout, and the canopy length on Starscream - again just by eyeball MKI - they do look to be about in scale). I can't give you hard numbers on this off the top of my head. That calls for a trip to the reference sources. Karl

I would be down for that if the final version came in those colours!

No Silhouettes: Such a let down :-( Can't even get their own sucky marketing right, lousy Suckara Suckmy. Er. Maybe not that... Still, toy looks nice though. If not for me.

Always liked the leader from 2007. Looks like a good upgrade leg wise.

I will saw Brawl was like... the only movie 1 decepticon that looked like a proper transformer to me. He didn't look insecty or monstery. He didn't have exposed innards or weird proportions.
Instead he was a tank with a fairly original robot mode design, who was scary enough because he was big and ready to fuck you up.
Blackout was a close second, but his design always felt a bit too busy.

I agree. Those two designs were a cut above the others. I like Brawl because there's something Front Mission about him. Nice design. I don't really have any 'favourites' from the movie designs, but Blackout is about the only one I've ever wanted a toy of.
