Sort of reminds me of that Clunk dude from the Stop the Pidgeon cartoons cept without the indigestion.
Octopunch and Stranglehold as newer toys would be RULESworthy. I rather liked ROTF Bludgeon.

Simon didn't use Vroom in the comic. We had Thunderwing & Crossblades in #67 both of which are nice looking toys. Vroom only turns up with the Ultra Pretenders in RG1. It seems Vroom was just a last minute addon to the line, unless he was done first & they got told to do another (or was there going to be 2 Decepticons so 4 in the set?)
But it would need lots of work - more along the line Energon Arcee than Movie Arcee

Vroom is the only ultra pretender I had.
"Two bricks," doesn't that basically describe every pretender, though?
I agree it's not one of the better G1 toys, but there's nothing wrong with his concept, or basic design that warrents him to never get updated.
But like I said, it's basically bad dinobots, and WfC designs I never want to see the light of day. Floro Dery and those guys couldn't design a functional paper sack.
A bad toy doesn't mean a bad design, but a bad design will almost always mean a bad toy.

Vroom could be made based on Animated Prowl armour mode tfwiki.net/wiki/Prowl_(Animated)#Transformers_AnimatedIf when transformers from bike mode he looked like the robot (car mode) Vroom from the original then the side car folds on to make the human face pretender shell. |

Vroom is great! I owned one for a while, thought he was a really fun toy. Lovely design too - he was always the one that most appealed to me of the megas, visually.
