OMG THANK GOD YOU'RE RIGHT!!! I think I know where I got confused- the hun-grrr and foc grimlock legs (also a terrible mold, but slightly better than PotP) have very similar shapes.

Seacons - brilliant.
Everything else - why?

And Seacons! Oh yes! Exciting not just because this means that another combiner team's been ticked off and we're one step closer to Dinoking, but also because I've always loved that team, and will be very happy to see updated designs. Exciting times! And since we know they'll be coming from Takara, we won't have Hasbro UK shafting us on the import front. Hurrah! Not Seacons, just Snaptrap. Hopefully he won't be the new Voyager Scattorshot....

Just because they only showed Snaptrap, that doesn't mean no seacons.
I can't see the amount of work that got put into this, Megatron, Star Convoy, and Armada Prime, and then they cop out only with Snaptrap.
Remember, it was Hasbro who decided Scattershot would be a stand alone (until backlash forced them to do the whole team). Takara stepped up with the whole team almost from the start.

Indeed. Takara are the ones who will obsessively go for G1 fidelity and completeness, so I'd be surprised if they put Snaptrap out on his own. I shall remain hopeful that it'll be the lot of them. (Although will they actually do all six..?)

I still hold out hope that one day the seacons will get an update. One of my favorite gestalts, and one I would love to own a modern version.
It was one of the few gestalts I owned when I was younger.

They're the only 'team' not to be done now, aren't they?
Surely they'll do one. Even based on the Terrorcon/Dinobot molds.

Well, there is the pretender monster bot team as well. Which would also be a most welcome update.

There are some "accidentally revealed" heads and weapons for the Dinobots and Terrorcons which indicate either the Monsterbots or their Japanese repaints Dino Force are coming.

Or were once speculatively thought of at a design stage. Nothing to say they are coming.

If it's a stand alone (which I doubt), it kinda went a little sideways.
But I wanna see it in color, plus the other five before I formulate an opinion.

I too need to see it in colour. Not sure based on that.

This is looking like it's coming out by itself with the other released one at a time following..... The chances of this still being in stock somewhere when the last gets revealed would look a little slim. It's got CW connectors, I'm in. I like what they've done with the legs beside the Turtle body, ala Abominus combined mode.

Top front of the shell needs to either be attached so it can turn or, more likely, attached by a peg and removable. It's the other way up in robot mode.
Wish I had my spare Hun-Grrr with me, he's in the cupboard at home.

It means I won't pass judgement on if I think it's bad or good until I have all the facts. As is, the grey prototype alone isn't doing it any favors for me. But (especially lately) there are always figures that are just mediocre by themselves, but are significantly improved by the set they belong to. The Seacons are the only g1 combiner team I actually care about. I'll get it even if it's forever alone. (But I'd do so very grumpily!)

Wish I had my spare Hun-Grrr with me, he's in the cupboard at home. New theory: The front of the turtle shell splits in two: there's a line down the middle. The rear removes to form the shield, obviously. The front shell halve, one gun on each, swing out to the sides. The middle bits of the front of the shell then fold up on the front of the guns - you can see what looks like a hinge on top of the gun. The guns then swing round to face the back of the turtle, the top of the robot.

I've had a go at putting Hun-Grrr into Snaptrap mode I think I'm on the side of Snaptrap is Hun-Grrr upside down! Mainly based on the screwhole on the knee.
