I'll catch up with Solo at some point, might rent it from the library. After last night's disastrous second viewing of Force Awakens, and my dismay and disappointment with Last Jedi, I think I'm done with the 'New Trilogy'. But the add-on films, like Rogue One, still may deliver.

Force Awakens is dire, isn't it? I prefer the prequels, at least there is some imagination there unless this literal remake of A New Hope. I can see why people liked it though.

I have a feeling that Force Awakens will only go down in peoples estimations as the years go on, and I think with the context of the third film, Last Jedi will improve.

Woah. You haven't seen Rogue One? Get on that, it's really good. It really does feel like your 'proper' Star Wars.
Solo it's harder to tell. You'll either take it under your wing with mild skepticism like me, or in your case you may have a spleen-rupturing explosion of vitriol like a lot of die hard fans. Be interesting to know.
But Rogue One, do it. You'll love it. Simply because it isn't messing with the characters you know and love from the original film like VII does, it's just filling in the background leading up to A New Hope.

Rogue One was the most boring of all the Star Wars.
The only things I enjoyed were the robot (which is rare. The only other SW robot I like is Chopper), and the two old crazy gay guys.
It was full of unengaging characters, but it was at least a competent story, unlike TFA. I can understand why people like it.
