But it still doesn't come with a small pink Buster Witwicky Titanmaster! Why not? You suck, Hasblow! Etc.
(I'm just trying to stay angry in the hopes that that'll prevent me from buying it.)
(Spoilers: It won't.)

A 3P co needs to do a new battlemask with a red visor and the signature ear aerial pieces, which would be a really simple thing to do, then this robot mode is perfect. It's *so* imposing it's untrue. Feels great to have a proper big Transformer to fiddle with again. I'm having a Jetfire day. Re-writing Fire in the Sky for Sunbow Sundays too.

Too big! How can Prowl chew-out Jetfire after he failed to chase after Dirge when they're such different sizes?!?! A ladder. He's not too big. Put the G1 figures side by side and there's no appreciable difference.

I was worried about this one because I've already been spoilt by Fans Toys Phoenix, but in a Generations context this Jetfire really does an outstanding job.

All Phoenix does in my house is stand around taking up space, this might be one I can actually get down and play with!

He should have been a leader, with all his macross accessories being his weaponizer powerup armor. The Crimson Harmony Defensive Armor.

Unfortunately they'll probably be too busy making more boobs for Arcee figures, or something. That said, Nonnef has some nice looking accessories for Siege G2 Sideswipe coming up, so maybe they'll do something. And am I the only person who likes T30 Jetfire, despite his flaws (which are many, I will accept)..? Do wait for the translation, don't answer me now - I think I already know.

I think it's a small enough and obvious enough piece that Toyhax will do it - red sticker for the visor and then two aerial pieces as accessories. The problem they're going to have is working out how to attach them because there's no where for anything to plug in. Redo the whole battle mask and you could mould them in.

Looks like it, if you look at the base. Looks like they're designed to only swing forward

Seems fair - Skyfire was always a brick with delusions of aircrafthood anyways, so it is not like he needs to be worrying too much about aerodynamic drag when trying to approach the speed of sound anyway. If he did the rest of him wouldn't look like that... :-)
I'm... finding myself curiously non-plussed about this. I was expecting to dislike it, given I've never been a fan of the Skyfire design particularly. But I think my overall reaction is more along the lines of "Hm, not a bad stab at Skyfire. The Sunbow folks'll probably really like this".
I'm not sure it is really for me. The humanoid mode isn't too bad (assuming the front of the visor head stays on better than the previous Generations Jetfire. That's tendency to lose half its head without warning was not fun.) but the aircraft mode isn't really doing much for me. It isn't as good at feeling like a big transport aircraft as the Galaxy Force one was, and it isn't even pretending to be a small fighter type thing. It is a very creditable attempt at what it is trying for though.
Just not really for me.
Karl
