Watching Nick go from wanting to buy it to trashing it for shit as he transformed it from robot to vehicle was most amusing.

Had he not played with the original PotP mold before? Because... I mean... it's not the greatest. But it's ridiculous and I love it.

PotP Optimus drew blood my first time. It has done so again once, since then. Those folding trailer panels on his arm would be so much better if they had tweaked the design slightly to, you know... not rip chunks of flesh off if you don't watch how you fold them up.

I have decided against it. The inner robot's 'self-love' hands have put me right off it.

I am impressed with how compact the box is. If you compare this to the one Nemesis Prime came in, same toy, but you could get three of these Star Convoy ones inside the Nemesis one. Somehow being smaller makes this feel more exclusive. Also, Hasbro should use these box sleeves too.

Yeah, most of the PottoP leader packaging was empty space. I guess it was to make it look more exciting on the shelves, but it just annoyed me. This is better.

I get that for mass retail packaging, one size must fit all, and not all toys are equal. But if there's still a lot of room leftover after you pack up your largest/most awkward toy, then you designed your package too poorly.
And unlike lines in the past where you generally don't know what will be at the end of the line two or three years after you start, they have all the big releases planned for their 12-16 month line.

That was the thing with Pottop Nemesis Prime; it's box was even bigger than the standard Prime. It's massive.

I got mine today, and find the quality to be as disappointing as with Big Powered.
That gold chest star is terrifyingly flimsy, and it will break en mass. In 20 years it will be very rare to find one intact. Combined with excessive force needed to plug it into place (the hinges are stronger than the peg and it's default is to pop open. The only way mine will stay shut is to disconnect the supermode shoulders), and transformation requires it to go through a hole that it's too large for... ...yeah. Not many will survive.
Also on mine there is almost no tight joints.
I also don't know what they were thinking with the new matrix. It's ugly, and it doesn't work as intended. The original PotP matrix would have been better.

Sorry to hear that, Toph. Whilst there's no question that the chest star is certainly going to be an issue, mine was absolutely fine otherwise - no loose joints at all. It might be that you just have a particularly dodgy one. Worth asking for a replacement..?
