Yup. we believe this is to do with the potential combination. The cars for the arms we think bolt onto some structure forming the actual arms as armour. The car splits so the each half can go on the corresponding part of the arm. We believe this is what they're going for: Only with bending elbows Dead End can probably pull the same trick..... I wonder if you can wrong trouser them? (I sense I may have to Threadactectomy the Legacy Stunticons)

(I sense I may have to Threadactectomy the Legacy Stunticons) Maybe not. I think this is the most discussed thing in Legacy right now, because there's not really anything else to talk about, and how this is going to work really is a genuine mystery ATM. I think once there's more to talk about and Hasbro shows off Motormaster, then the discussion on the stunticons will probably cool a bit.

I'm thinking throw the Stunticons in with the supposed Commander Motormaster which would get it's own thread ANYWAY, so all the Menasor stuff is together

That Motormaster box reminds me of the box for Thunderclash.

Hurrah! I knew there'd be no danger of actually seeing anything new on Tuesday! Glad to see my faith upheld. Or something.
Anyhoo. That Motormaster box is... an oddity, for sure. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it's puzzling because after all those years of insisting that toys be sold in robot mode so that kids and parents actually buy them, we finally have closed boxes, where you can't see the toys at all, and so they choose to illustrate it with... the vehicle mode. You'd have thought that closed boxes would make it even more important to highlight the figure. And yet... I guess they're just very confident that enough fans are clamouring for a new Motormaster that it'll just sell anyway. And like I say, I don't dislike it - in fact, I love it. It's just puzzling...

Personally, I won't believe Motormaster is in the Motormaster box until I see him.

Transformers should make more of the 'alt modes' on packaging.
They are all robot's already - it shows much more variety if it displays WHAT becomes the robot.

Woah. Nice. These Stunts are going to look the business as a team.
Actually, there's some serious back kibble going on there.

I might be in on the Stunticons now. They were always my least favourite CW team and these are starting to look really nice.

So wildrider’s a leg yes? There are peg holes visible on his knee area which would be at the rear of the car when in alt mode? Where the arm ones need to split in half the leg ones just attach to the shins?
This one is also a much more appealing toy to me. Gonna have to make a decision about whether this road is one I wanna burn down.

They do look nice, but I'm sticking with the Combiner Wars set. I can't be doing with buying groups over and over.

I see no reason why the legs shouldn't be able to swap with one another, but Hasbro can sometimes be weirdly petty about sunbow adherence, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they designed it it only be the left leg.
On a side note, he's also probably going to be the back of the legs.
All that said, I'm so excited to get another car robot design. I mean for the last almost decade now, we've been dominated by just four car robot designs. Datsun/Jazz Sideswipe and company Bumblebee & co/Sunstreaker/Wheeljack/Battlecharger/Tracks Combiner Wars Car (includes the Breakdown, Dead End, and TR Chromedome molds. All are basically the same design)
Five, if you count the PotP Female "Car" being forced as every female TF ever.
Sure, there are odd little weirdos here and there that stand out (C/CP, Windcharger, Blurr, Arcee, the occasional Hotrod), but it's those four body designs that they keep going to. Heck, the "Datsun" design got four seperate new molds in five years or less (PotP Jazz, Siege Datsun, ER Datsun, and SS86 Jazz).
I dunno. It's just nice to have a new one to add to the potential repaint pool. And there's still Dead End!

That's a fair point. These Stunticons are not for me at all, but that aspect of things is nice. I'm curious who they're going to be repainted as, though. The CW Stunticons ended up repainted as the Autobot cars, but those characters have all been done very recently in very Sunbow-accurate ways, so surely they'd not do that again? Although Hasbro also seem to have nothing against redoing non Prime or Bumblebee characters ever line now, so maybe. More likely though it'll probably be as G2 or Shattered Glass Stunticons, I'm guessing. Oh well.

Not much of a combiner if your combiner exists without combining.
Motormaster looks worlds better than his CW counterpart, but I was expecting that, and it's not exactly a high bar to cross. But I genuinely don't understand what's going on with his feet. Are they a fake truck under the real truck? So a double truck front stacked on top of each other? Or is the real truck front splitting in a way that creates the illusion of two seperate truck fronts stacked on one another?

I kind of like it... I think Menasor will look good, and I like the base mode at least.
The truck is ok, but the wheels look too small somehow.
The robot mode at first glance evokes Wheelie more than any other character for me. It's not bad as such, and it does evoke the Sunbow model to be fair, but for me it would take some getting used to as Motormaster as I always think of the toy version, all grey and boxy.
