This does look much better than the Megatron but I can pass.

What the... Is that actual parts of the vehicle forming actual parts of the robot? I know! Crazy, isn't it? Where's the unnecessarily complex transforma- conversion scheme to hide all those pesky vehicle parts and give us a Sunbow-accurate character model? We don't have actual *vehicle* parts on robots, because then you might know that the robot actually transf- converts into a thing! What is this madness?! It's... well it's actually like G1, really. Or, to be more accurate, the original Diaclone models. Suffice to say, as with Megatron, I do like the idea of this. I am very down with less-streamlined robot modes, and the play pattern of having a figure that can interact with the robot in both modes. That's exactly the sort of thing that I wanted from a toy when I was a kid, especially given that I collected both Transformers and Action Force. It's just a shame that this isn't exactly priced as a children's toy. But here we are. And although I was initially put off with the idea of this being Bumblebee (although of course it had to be Bumblebee, given he's the main character now), thinking that this should have been Hound or someone else, it is of course the case that on screen Bumblebee has been a jeep-like vehicle more recently than any other Autobot, so it makes sense that it's him. So yeah, I like this. Although it'll still be a sale item for me.

I'm definitely in for that. Possibly because it looks like a big old school chunky 90s robot. Those legs look like they have very limited articulation and the feet have a fixed angle, you can see the slope on the toes. I wonder if it will actually have that feel, or just light and hollow like Authentics rubbish.

These are nostalgasmic fun, it has to be said.
If they do a Prowl Wolverine I'm in trouble.

Big but probably cheap feeling compared to normal generations figures? They have to be big to be in 3 3/4 scale. The Bumblebee is 9 inches in robot mode.

That size certainly makes it tempting, but the price remains like cold water...

It'll be a Starscream or Jetfire. There is no way they will be able to stop themselves from doing a Joe plane that turns into one of them.
It's money on the table.
