I ran for the first time since September yesterday. Felt fantastic - did me a world of good. Fingers crossed my heel holds up and I can get back out more regularly.

2024 Run #30/100. Tough again. I don't have much energy at the moment.

Not by choice
The pink Nikes I use at the mo are only meant for short distances up to 10k, very light (and they are knackered), no longer on sale. The others in that style are 300 bangers.
NEARLY HALF A HASLAB UNICRON!!!

My running shoes only cost £40 but as a slow jogger-type they do the job. I don't need anything fancy.

Because I intend on doing several longer runs, a slightly more extravagant purchase is required. Tend to end up going through a decent pair once every six months or so depending on workload, and have found a cheaper shoe isn't always cheaper in the long run. But not paying £300.00 for a pair.

3 runs in 3 days done, today was a bit tough, had a wee stitch and ended up walking for a wee bit, still sub 30 mins for the 5k as I had done a brisk pace either side.
Down a toenail after this one, it was a bit wobbly so I did the unpleasentness before a shower.

Ah it's more the blood, doesn't really hurt.
New shoes arrive tomorrow, so I will either be bold and break them in on run 4 or wait and do them on Saturday or Sunday's run after breaking them in a bit.

Run 4 will be at 1pm, then early doors Saturday am.
Run 4 is near a friend's so won't be my usual route.

Run 4 was tough, said friend didn't clue me in that we did one of the worst bits of my 10k route on this one. Still done and under 30 minutes.
New trainers are here, breaking them in tonight and tomorrow (run will definitely be in the older pair) before deploying them for a Sunday run.

Run 5 done, again sub 30 mins.
Two valuable lessons. Lesson 1 - do not run a mere half hour after a bout of fizzy brown bum gravy. Lesson 2 - do not revert back to old shoes, after starting the breaking in process for the new ones.

2024 Run #31/100. I continue to be plagued by fatigue, so exercise remains tough. I can barely get above walking speed. Managed 4 miles though.

2024 #38/100. It was a warm evening but there was a nice breeze. It was going well until I entered the final mile.
Suddenly, the inner lining of my shorts pushed under my pants and fused with several pubic hairs. This caused a painful pulling motion on the gnads with every step. This was very unpleasant. I had to do some emergency pubic hair plucking to solve the situation. It was bloody sore.

Honestly, having been running regularly for about 20+ years now, I do not know how you get some of these unfortunate ailments Ralph.

I imagine the other people on the streets were terrified by your pained ape-like gesturing and tugging at your groin.
