Only a couple of bits of concern and they had a good layer of frost on them so there was some grip for the trainers. Hopefully doesn't get worse between now and Wednesday night.

2023 Run #6: shorter at 6.8k. Was in mood for longer but turned back when I saw frost forming. Didn't want to push my luck!

Run 7 - 5k in 32.33 - fastest k was the last with a 5.50.
Easily 2 and a half minutes to shave off that over the coming months.

Run #7: After work: 6.19k. It was icy so I was being an idiot. Kept my pace down though.

A fellow Hubber appears to have had a 'mishap' on their run today. I did not laugh.

Not a mishap, nearly a fucking catastrophe.
The screw holding in one of the sides of my glasses (the one with the actual lense and not plain glass) had somehow worked its way loose while I was running and the lens fell out.
Fucking raging, ruined the run as I had to hunt for it in the dark and the fact the bastarding glasses are less than three months old.

2023 Run #8. Duration: 1 hour 13 mins. Not sure about how far as I forgot to switch Location on so the app didn't record the run.

Monday's run was horrible - felt heavy legged and tight and pretty much ended up stopping for traffic at every road.
Tonight's much smoother - not a belter of a time but all good. 5k's all good, time to start towards 10k...

I'd felt a bit of a twinge on my achilles 2 weeks ago so had a bit of a break to let it mend. Got out again yesterday: 5k in 32:34. This weeks soundtrack was some synthwave from Karl Casey.

Still a long way off running anywhere but took a look at the "block" I want to start walking and according to google maps its exactly 1.5 miles with just one non main road to cross. Longer than I thought, but a pleasant enough route.
