Good soundtrack! Pity it doesn't include the proper version of You Know My Name, my vote for the best Bond film theme song of all.

Good soundtrack! Pity it doesn't include the proper version of You Know My Name, my vote for the best Bond film theme song of all. It is splendid. 2023 Run #23. About 5.9 miles. Time: up to about half-way through track 26 on: Spyfall OST (Thomas Mann). Below zero. Weather had been inclement all day so I and...apparently dozens of other runners popped out before it went wild again! -Ralph

10k on Thurdsay - awful, was in pain from the start seems like my shoes have given up the ghost. walked in bits as my hips were in some pain.
15k today - used another (older back up) pair of shoes - damage from Thursday not healed, very difficult but needed the distance.
New running shoes on order but won't arrive till next week. Will probably only risk a couple of 5ks on Monday and Wednesday ahead of Minicon.

Doubt I'll be running again this side of minicon due to lurgy.

Yeah, it probably makes sense to give yourself time to get properly back on your feet.

2023 Run #24. About 6.43 miles. Not 100% over the lurgy but I needed to get out. My body will tell me tomorrow if this was a bad idea.
Soundtrack: On Her Majesty's Secret Service OST (John Barry). It really is just that one tune on a loop.

Yes, but it one of those scores which doesn't work on its own. It's just that tune. Over and over and over. Very little variation.

2023 Run #25. About 5.05 miles. It was bloomin' cold this evening.
Needed energy so bunged on the Casino Royale OST again...but this time on shuffle. The player then got stuck on 'Miami Airport' in a loop before going completely rogue and randomly playing tracks from other film scores.

Have you considered running (ho ho) a Level III diagnostic?

2023 Run #28.
9.55 miles approx.
I decided to incorporate running round a reservoir and over a dam on today's run. Many smiling path blockers out and about who would not move when I politely said "Excuse me?" though it may have come out as: "HHEEEEEUURGGGHFUCKHURRRRGGGHHHBASTARDHAAARRGGGHHH".
Far too many yappy dogs lunging at me with the owners giving it pish: "They're just being friendly!" bollocks.
I thought the dam looked suspiciously quiet when I saw the signs saying the path over it was closed for construction work. "Fuck that" I thought and darted round the fences to get in and straight into the muddly ditches, over some wires and squeezing round construction equipment. Too late, I realised this was foolish as I almost tumbled over a railing down the slope. Made it though.
Also: cow grids need to fuck the fuck off.

I didn't realise my thighs were red-raw like a surprised turkey until I jumped into the shower.

I recommend stepping carefully into the shower rather than jumping. Less chance of slipping and injury.

2023 Run #31. About 5.22 miles. Plans for a 10-mile effort faded fast due to my bladder playing up, a painful stitch and too much Easter Sunday chocolate.
