Arrived before I headed off.
Now while the launcher's removal is a shame, the missiles on the command deck module being on a hair trigger and the upgrade to Roller mean all sins are forgiven.
I do not think we will see a better Transformers toy this year.

The launcher being removed makes sense in context. The original trailer mould was kaput anyway. Being able to take the drone out is in keeping with the ethos of: 'like the original but more articulation'.
I am usually of a dim view when updates get rid of previous play features but I don't mind it here. The whole package still looks, feels and plays like *a toy*.
Ultimate Roller is grand.
ML C-01 is easily in the top 10 Best Ever list. Maybe even the top 5.

I think the changes they made, make up for it's loss. Very pleased with updated Roller and the Command Deck having the detachable drone is a nice touch.
Agree, it's definitely going to be hard to see Hasbro/Takara topping this one.

What I'm finding really hard with this is overcoming the MIB urge. So he's out, and posing nicely, but breaking Roller's wheels off those sprues and applying the labels? You just don't DO that if you have a minty G1 Optimus in a box. That's madness. Yet... yet this isn't a G1 minty Optimus. It's... arg!
