These continue to look wonderful! Got my Amazon preorder in.
I don't find the prices too unreasonable tbh. As collector pieces produced by Takara they seem likely to have much smaller runs than, say, a core class mainline figure, on top of which they seem to have more articulation than many of those figures, vac-metalisation, and presumably rubber tires, and quite possibly are generally to a higher standard of finish and plastic. They probably come with nicer packaging, too.
I'd love for them to be cheaper, but I can see why they most likely aren't. I also think dropping 40 euros on one of these will bring me, personally, significantly more joy than the same amount on almost any Legacy voyager!

Ordered mine, price seems fine. Shipping and taxes are sadly part of the deal.

Pricewise I think these are fine. Bearing in mind that these are entirely new toolings, which also have design costs behind them... compared to other things of the same general size the price point seems pretty much what I would expect.
That said, like the Convoy, these aren't really doing anything for me to be honest. I'm not enthused enough by the idea of owning something that looks like a toy from decades ago, only with more joints. Especially when I've owned versions of the original toys for decades - four decades in one case. They just...don't have a Use Case for me.

Honestly dude, play with the OP. It's good enough to change your mind.

Aye, there is something about him that is magic. He transcends simply being a good toy. I mean to be honest, there are better figures. But there's just something about him

Honestly dude, play with the OP. It's good enough to change your mind. Maybe. It has a bit of an uphill struggle with me to overcome the fact that it is a redux of 1984 Convoy, and that feels like it is kinda looking back into the past to me. But who knows, perhaps it is good enough to overcome that. I suspect it'll be a little bit academic mind you - I'm not likely to see one in the plastic any time soon, so by the time I did it isn't likely it'd still be in stock anywhere! Karl

eBay. Ended up getting a G1 micromaster patrol and a bunch of the War for Cybertron micromasters at the same time - eBay is dangerous.

So, this Optimus is capable of replicating both of his original box art poses. So what did Takara do? Give him a new box art piece that he is incapable of replicating.
I personally think it would be hilarious if they continue to do this with all future releases.

They still look amazing!
Is that a rub-sign under Bumblebee's foot? Odd placement, but nice to see there's one somewhere

I completely crumpled in putting an order in for the minibots when I saw the picture of them with ML Optimus.

That price annoys me so much. At £25 I'd buy all future repaints instantly, but at £33 they are just .... ugh!

I genuinely feel Optimus is worth his price. But these two? We get far more complex transformers made from the same materials (minibots had no diecast), that are original designs, for way less.
I feel like modern deluxe pricepoint is more than fair for a toy that doesn't hold up to a modern core.

Stickers to replicate the original box art is a wonderful little touch. So much love is going into this line!

was there a collector's card in ML Op? I don;t remember seeing it but I was distracted by the amazing toy.
also, what was C-02? Maybe they're going to work their way through the toys in original number format *drools*
