After the arm stickers now being sculpted and painted details, I was hoping the knee and feet would be, too. Particularly as the anime version bore the same knee details, only unpainted.
I am disappointed.

Happy that the Matrix chamber is removable though. The little cab seats are still there!

Okay, I'm confused. The photos clearly show that the arm and leg details that used to be stickers have been sculpted on, so what are these stickers for? I assume for completeness for collectors, but they won't apply properly if the surface isn't flat. Odd choice.
Good to see that the Matrix chamber is removable, though. I wasn't fussed about it myself, but it's good for even more original toy accuracy.

We don't know what is made from. Also: this isn't aimed at folk who toss packaging.

We do know what it's made of, because it says so. Styrofoam.

These days it could also easily be made from a styrofoam made from more eco-friendly start materials now as well.

Also.. the air miles on sending this over from Japan..? If you're worried about one of piece of styrofoam you're likely to keep for decades to come, I'd also be concerned about how to ship the product over here.

Am I going to say it? I was woken up earlier than the usual weekday alarm by the Scraplet (not his fault - he's been nowhere to tire him out since we got back from TFN), and in my still-recovering-from-Covid state I really needed that sleep, so I'm more than a little grumpy. So I'll say it.
Possible styrofoam issues aside, I'm still disappointed in Missing Link Prime. For a very annoying reason - I was hoping it would have more 5mm ports.
Now what the hell, you might well ask. Well simply I wanted a toy-accurate Prime to be able to fit in with the current Generations line, use all the accessories, and so on. As it is, this Missing Link toy is its own thing, and fits in nowhere. Which makes me feel a little bit odd about it.
I guess what I really wanted was a toy accurate Prime to replace the disappointing Earthrise Prime. (Well, it's disappointing from the point of view of its trailer - the figure's not bad.) This figure will not scratch that itch.
So what I'm saying is that I want a toy accurate G1 Prime that has Generations styling and features. In direct contradiction of everything I've said elsewhere on this site. I am, truly, a True Transformers Fan. With all that that entails.
I hate myself.
Not that I'll not be getting Missing Link Prime anyway, mind you. It's still really nice. I mean, just look at it.

Just as long as the new, flexible joints can support the weight of that much die-cast. It seems that the hip joints are die-cast also, and I don't know whether that's a good thing or not...

The hips being die-cast is possibly there to give that extra support.
