Yeah, I'm kinda ready for a new Windblade design as well.
I'm ready for a new design for a ton of characters, but the difference is, they can switch out for Starscream between a dozen different designs that haven't seen the light of day in 15 years, and with such distinct personalities that they're actually uniquely different characters. Windblade however has only had the one design and one personality, even though she's appeared in a few distinct continuities by now. G1, Cyberverse, and Aligned Windblades are all completely interchangeable, down to her personality. Meanwhile, even if Cyberverse and Earthspark Bumblebee have an almost identical "evergreen" design, they're personalities are still distinct.
I feel bad for her, honestly. It feels like she's treated by everyone at every level as an obligation, and not as a character that they really want to play with or think about. It's sad, as Windblade and Till All Are One are genuinely the only comics from the latter half of IDW what I enjoyed. I have a pretty big fondness for her.

That said, her wings will be removable to mimic her retractable wings from the show. That's how this toy will be unique from the other three versions.

I've always found the Windblade character to be terribly dull so I'm not champing at the bit for a toy, I must admit.

i liked her from the idw comics, it was nice to get a new perspective on the autobot-decepticon war, the political machinations plotline was very satisfactory. getting a windblade toy is on my wantlist but will it be this one?

And whilst I liked pretty much all of the IDW stuff, TAAO was definitely a highlight. I was very glad to be able to meet Mairghread Scott at one of the past TFNations and talk to her about it, because it was great stuff. And also I got to blame her in person for finally making me buy an Onslaught toy, which she was perfectly happy with.

Probably not. Which means... not ever, really. I think we're actually pretty much in the endgame now for Generations toys, in terms of the level of quality and engineering that they'll ever achieve, and the stylings that they'll use. Anything else will be incremental, barely percepitible improvements. I was just thinking about the Black Series and how long that's been going on for, and how Generations kind of feels like the equivalent of that, in terms of how far Hasbro are willing to push and change things with their "collectore-focussed" line. So I think, in ten years' time, the figures'll be much the same as they are now. Just more expensive. I've certainly cheered myself up with that thought this morning.

Thundertron is due to be revealed this week, presumably the Prime Universe Lion. Options: * Repaint of Leo Prime, no remoulding save maybe the robot head.
* Remould of Leo Prime to put the Lion head on the Robot chest
* Remould of Voyager Tigatron to give him a lion head
* New Mould, potentially with an eye on Cybertron Leobreaker What do we think?

These and Prowl make me really wish Bulkhead was TFA based, instead of being AoE Hound with TFP Bulkhead's head

Bee looks better in those last too pics, but the robot just doesn't look dynamic enough.
Decent Animated Optimus though.
As the world's biggest TFA fan (regardless of what a certain hastily delivered toy appraisal YT channel may declare) I'm happy this is happening, but can't see me replacing any of my originals because there's something rather special in their unique aesthetic, whereas these don't really take any risks.

Not known for breaking TF news though.... They're a media site, and this is an attempt to get some promotion outwith the TF ecosystem, so it makes sense. -Ralph

Most of my issues with Bee evaporated when I saw how friggin tiny he is.
Although he himself is now not worth the $25 he's being charged as. But maybe that part of his share of the budget went to making someone else in his wave amazing

Well if I wasn't out before I definitely am now. They might want to argue that it's in scale with the others but the proportions aren't right. It looks like a scaled down normal size deluxe, not a short deluxe.
