Oh my. Tigerhawk looks good (a shame about the skinny waist in both modes thoug). Energon Megs looks adorable. Magmatron a surprise. RB Chase is decent, who knew it was something the market needed?

Surprisingly the only one here really doing much for me is Thundertron, he looks really neat. (It's also had the effect of making me look up the Prime toy, and find out of nowhere that that looks kind of neat, too)
I can imagine picking up the Energon Megatron, could be a good little fiddle toy.
Maybe Tigerhawk is one that will look better in hand, but the photos aren't working for me. Probably because I mainly know the character from the TM2 toy, so the colours look wrong even if they're nice.

Helps he has a nice easy repaint Thundertron looks lovely. I don't need him, but I will have to get him because he looks nice. Yes it does. Were they dropping hints as to him being reused as a Zoids X-Over in the stream? |

They were also dropping hints as to Chase's reuse being in 6 months time. I've had a look at the leaked list and reckon it's easy to work out whop that is though how Chase becomes will be interesting.
Didn't expect Chase to work so well after seeing Prime & BB during the week

Well this was a very annoying set of reveals - there's not a single G1 figure in there! What am I supposed to get mad about now? Damn you, Hasbro!
But yeah, that's certainly an interesting and eclectic collection. Of them all, I think Windblade is the only "must have" for me, but that was always a given, what with this being Windblade - so it's just as well the final figure doesn't look too bad (although the jet mode looks a little clumsy). I don't know if this Windblade'll be better than any of the other previous iterations of the character, of course, aside from improved poseability, but I could say the same of any of the figures here.
Now we've seen the additional pictures of Animated Prime I'm even more vexed by him. It actually looks like a really nice figure, it's just the face looking too Animated that doesn't quite match with the rest of the design. If they'd pushed it more G1, like they did with Prowl, it might have worked better.
Thundertron also looks really nice - I really like that Zoids-like design. Certainly an odd character for inclusion though, given they are so many other characters that people are clamouring for, but it keeps things interesting, I suppose. And Tigerhawk also looks nice enough, but that'll only be a clearance pick up. But then most of them will be, aside from Windblade, until the current cost of having a Conservative government crisis passes...

I'm really pleased they are expanding their efforts to serve the nostalgia of the wider fanbase that the Generations line has been mostly neglecting. If there is going to be a nostalgia line then it seems only fair that it serves the nostalgia of fans for whom Armada, Superlink, Beast Wars was their entry point, not just the older demographic whose gateway drug was Sunbow/Marvel. The whole nostalgia line thing isn't really my bag, but it is nice to seem them extend that to the wider Transformers community. Karl |

Similar to me, but Chase as well. Something about the design I like. Me too! He is the one that has initally struck me as "oh, that's cool!". I think they've done a really grand job on him. I probably won't get a remould of him, unless it is spectacularly good. But he is one of the ones I can definitely see myself getting. I'm not sure about the Windblade, it looks better than the previous Generations version. But in fairness that isn't a high bar to clear! Not a fan of the sword, compared to the Cyberverse toys' Uichigatana, it looks a bit...chewing gun... And I'm not sure I like the much squarer-looking alt-mode on this one. I could go either way here. The Thundertron I genuinely like. Taking design cues from Tomy's other major mecha line has really paid off for this - much more leonine in proportions than the almost lupine-thin original toy, and I love the warlord-esque look of humanoid mode. If the original is a pirate, then this one is a pirate-king. The only thing is that the original is cheaper on the secondary market than this one, so I question whether it is better enough... I'm not hugely fussed one way or another about the rest. They are almost all characters I've previously owned a version of, so they have a bit of a "been there, done that" feel for me. Most of them look ok, but there is nothing there to really grab me. That said, my original reaction to the Megatron was "jings, that looks terrible", but then I saw another tweet this morning that told me it was a Core-class figure. Which just makes it kinda adorably "meh". I'd prefer one in the General Galvatron colours - I think they are better than the original colour scheme on Superlink Galvatron. But that's just a me thing. For a smaller, cheaper (ish), toy it isn't bad at all. If I happen to see it and have the spare change, or as a convention purchase I might snag that. Relatively cheap line though - just Chase that I definitely want, and a couple of others that I'm seriously considering. The rest are "probably not unless I seem them fairly deeply discounted".
