Simply because I don't have that Rodimus mold, if it was thirty quid for the pack I'd get it. As it is, it'll be a hundred quid or something daft, so I'll probably pass. That said though, just look at how reduced the AoE two-packs ended up getting in TRU and Tesco. We can but hope... Although they didn't also come with the Platinum-obligatory 200% mark-up... My reaction to Platinum sets usually goes as follows: that looks fab > that will have a ridiculously high price point > never mind. -Ralph >wait until A1 or Kapow drop them to reasonable prices and buy 2. Yay, dual display

there are some really nice looking sets coming out! And some really awful ones that make you scared and confused about what Hasbro are on! I enjoy this box mockup someone posted on the Allspark

Yeah, two of the most derided molds ever, now available together for a premium price! And you'll pay it too, won't you? Look at the shiny box....
Yeah, I woke up grumpy.

And you'll pay it too, won't you?. Nuts isn't it! Genuinely don't understand who this set is aimed at. Too expensive for casual purchasers, and fans know that those molds are horrible and not worth premium 2/3x price for. But clearly someone is buying these platinum sets!

I just don't understand the price gouging on Platinum sets. It's not like they have remoulded parts! Surely they would sell a lot more at a more sensible 'premium' price rather than COVER ME IN MONEY PRICE.

Anyone else got the Platinum Year of the Horse Supreme Starscream? I picked it up from Masterforce a few months ago for £29.99 but hadn't got round to opening it yet. Mrs B and Baby B are away to her mums again so got almost 2 days to myself and thought I'd maybe do a review of it.
Turns out that, despite its unbelievable size, there's very little to review. It's a nice looking figure and the joints are all solid. Overly simplistic transformation, shoulders could be doing with having more to them, the completely molded hands are annoying and the crown was on so tight that when I took it off it removed 3 or 4 patches of paint from Starscreams head. The sound effects are surprisingly weak as well, almost tinny sounding.
Overall I'm happy with it but if I'd paid anymore than £30 I'd be pretty underwhelmed.

The mould really suits the Yoyager size, but at the Supreme size it's just a little too simple.

There's so much wrong with this mold it's ridiculous.
1) As pointed out, it's too expensive for what you get. Even if Unicron isn't terribly complex, there's a lot more to him, and being massive works to his favor.
2) Hasbro never released the actual appropriate sized Voyager Starscream. He got a G1 Thrust colored release as part of a rare exclusive two-pack with a completely unchanged Vector Prime. And it got a Universe release as another rare exclusive twopack with Springer as War Within Dirge.
3) Hasbro released this at the cery front of Cybertron, thus literally spoiling the ending of the series.
All that said, I badly want this mold. But at the time I could not justify paying $60 for it. And it shelfwarmed for the entire length of the line. Meanwhile, I always heard reports of stores clearancing it down to insane prices. Meanwhile no store in my area ever did. TRU had dozens of them and they all stayed full price until one day, they just vanished. Got sent away. And now there's a second shot, but at $100, and I damn sure can't justify that.

I've got 2 versions of it, the standard Supreme version that I've never touched and this Platinum version. I would offer you the standard version but it's pretty hefty. How much would it cost to post to you?

I don't get it. They look nothing like the picture on the box, and the deco's are pretty meh and Megatron's feet aren't there nor is Primes kneecaps and...
Yeah, these do nothing for me.

The translucent unpainted panels on prime are just lazy and ruin it.

Only just noticed the giant Autobot symbol on Prime's aerofoil/gun :s
Megatron looks not bad, the red allows the safety orange to blend a bit with the colour scheme.

And it looks like it's a redeco of the 25th Anniversary movie edition. The only one I didn't have!!! I posted a picture on a thread a while back that accompanied a Seibertron.com interview with someone from Hasbro and every toy in the picture had a 2016 re-release announced apart from Unicron and I wondered if it was coincidence or not.
