Glad to hear Straxus is pushing all the right buttons.
I really don't get the apparent appeal of Soundwave in general, let alone a slight recolour taking a slot when there are so many other things they could do. Like YomTov coloured background repaints.. 😉

I think you're an outlier on the purple Soundwave and most of us would have been all over a purple version
Earthmode Soundwave has only just come out of retailer exclusive Nidd: we still haven't had an Earthmode Soundblaster from it!

I'd like a purple Soundwave, but definitely happier with Xaaron and Flame.
Though it might have been nice to have a purely US-themed wave 1 and then a UK-themed wave 2, with a more UK-style to the box spine art.

So, got Flame and Xaaron today!
Xaaron is great, but sadly he's probably a future victim of GPS.
It's sad to see the return of the swirly plastics that causes GPS. Particularly on the heels of the weird plastic discoloration problems.
Flame... Flame makes me so glad I skipped Megatron.
This is not a good mold. It's not the worst, but Megatron and his extremely generic design would have really soured me on it.
Flame though wears the mold so much better, and makes my first interaction a positive one!
Colors are better, and all his new sculpting is just gorgeous.
These are two perfect mold choices for these characters. The only downside is Xaaron's swirly plastic.

It's like they've learned all the wrong lessons from listening to the fandom. "Hey, everyone's talking about this 'GPS' thing - let's bring it back! It's clearly what they want!"

I mean, GPS is fairly mandatory for all new expensive vehicles these days and it is far better than trying to navigate with a map on your knee whilst drivi...or...yeah. Never mind, wrong GPS... :-)

I have a non-transforming AM Xaaron that was made by one of our number a few years back. This serves most adequately as Xaaron alongside the six original Wreckers, so I didn't order one either.

Alas, some of us weren't quite lucky enough to be able to jump on those, so this one will have to do as a substitute.
But then, I haven't had the toy this Xaaron is based on either so at least it's an all new experience for me!
