How often are you doing weigh ins? Keep it weekly at the same time of day. First thing pre breakfast you're typically at your lightest due to dehydration etc. Look at long term trends, one week of weight increase isn't terrible if you lost either side.

Accountability post. 11st3lb
Now, I'm not a huge believer in BMI especially as the bulk of my training has been weights based the last few years. However, I do need to lose a bit of spare tyre and my diet's definitely to blame.
So switching to little and often eating, and no boredom snacks in between scheduled eats
Breakfast: porridge with honey/walnuts or museli with raisins/walnuts. Gotta keep this smaller than I have been! 10:30: protein bar (grenade Oreo - a lot of these contains polyols, malitol or sucralose which don't agree with me. These are one of the few bars that do) 12:30: Turkey wrap/prawns or smoked salmon on half a bagel whatever 15:00: Slice of toast with p and minimal honey/low sugar jam 17:30: Normal dinner, but small portion 21:30: Post workout shake
Mixing in more cardio (hiit) in between lifting days. Also been doing PPL for weights, will try switching to shorter, intense bro-splits.

Interesting.
I have increased my exercise and reduced snacking and I do feel a bit better.

Due to my Taekwondo training I'm in a constant battle with my weight as (being only 5'10) I need to stay within a kg of my fighting weight (<68Kg) otherwise I'm likely to fight 6ft+ monsters who have cut from >80kg to 80kg. I've found that body composition scales are much much useful than normal ones or BMI. My current stats are:
Weight: 68.55kg BMI: 21.6 Body Fat 12.9% (big increase post my last covid infection in March/April). Fat-Free Body Weight: 59.73kg Subcutaneous Fat 11.4% Visceral Fat: 5. Body Water: 62.9% Skeletal Muscle: 56.3% Muscle Mass: 56.70kg Bone Mass: 2.99kg Protein: 19.9% BMR: 1660KCal. Metabolic Age: 37 (I'm actually 41).

Body Fat 12.9% (big increase post my last covid infection in March/April). 13% is still ridic, especially for early 40s. What's the average for a 40 year olds I wonder?

Wednesday weekly weigh in... 11st1.4lb
Weekend was a bit messy with cake from a cafe and BBQ, but mostly stuck to the diet and exercise plan. These scales are pretty inconsistent, but I'll take that loss.

I'm trying to get it down to 10% but it's just a nightmare. The average body fat percentage for a 40-59 year old is 28.6% according to Google. Lowest I've managed is 12.1% I think.

Been trying to gradually lose weight this year. Started the year at 14st 8lb (after putting on 5lb over Christmas) - was 13st 8 this morning. 11.5 is my target so a bit to go but good gains so far. Generally been cutting out all the bad shit - no chocolate, salads for lunch instead of sandwich, and trying to exercise more. But definitely focusing more on the diet this time and making sure I'm operating at a calorific deficit - in the past I've done loads more exercise and gained weight usually because exercise makes me very hungry, plus the temptation to cheat as I e.g. 'ran yesterday'.

A stone in six months is good steady progress.
My problem is I'll work hard to lose weight quick, but then over a few years put it all back on. I'd rather be a consistent weight heavier than my lowest, than yo-yoing. So your gradual loss is probably better long term.

I'd be very interested in knowing how they work for so many measures and how accurately. Several of those measures we used to find extremely difficult to quantify for subjects in a lab environment.

That's been me in the past - lost 2.5 stone about 8 years ago in about 6 months, then put it all back on again over a year or so. Trying to make change I can keep to longer term.

Weekly Wednesday weigh in... 11st1.8lb
Minor increase. A few reasons preventing hiit workouts and causing a bit of stress eating. That latter is something I gotta work on.

11st1.2lb
Not sure why I've gone up, thought I'd done ok this week diet and exercise. A few slips food wise, but nothing terrible. Also difficult to balance weight loss with intended gain whilst I'm still mixing in weight training.
Had my best performance in Insanity Pure Cardio. I've been doing Insanity to lose weight for a decade and never made it through this particular workout ever, only had 1 set where I had to take a proper rest and minimal other quick breathers this time, so counting the week as a win regardless. Time to move up to 1hr HiiT from 40mins.

I know I advised not weighing every day, but needed a check given I thought I'd had a decent week prior. 11st0.6lb this morning. Probably all water retention differences.

It will be water retention - which is why a bio-impedance scale can be helpful.
Insanity Pure Cardio is great btw - the warm up alone is a killer!
