It's a gimmicky 60 day, 5 days a week HiiT/plyo, 1 day stretching (not sure I'd call it pilates or yoga) work out program. 40 mins first half, 1 hour second. No weights required, just need 3x3m space. Can do it in less, but some moves will be tight. Probably 15 years old at this point. I find the trainer Shaun T motivating, but I can imagine others might find him a bit OTT. But for all its gimmicks, following the program and diet plan does work, but then it's not rocket science to realise running a calorie deficit and doing a tonne of cardio is gonna lose you weight. But having a program to follow can keep you on track better than without.

Just a shame Beach Body operate a horrible mlm business for selling their fitness supplements and every new workout seems to "need" a new piece of equipment they're selling at three times the normal price.

All you need is "My fitness pal" app (free) to track your calorie intake, and the will to do exercise on a consistent and regular basis. I don't know why people spend all that money on random equipment.

I don't know why people spend all that money on random equipment. People buy in to the marketing that these things make it all easier/provide short cuts to better results I guess. Especially with the "science" behind it all.

Woo, broke the 11st mark.
Stepped up to the second half Insanity 1hr workouts/2 weights sessions and tried to be a little more disciplined food wise. Smaller breakfast and dinner portions.

I've slipped back in recently weeks a put on a couple of pounds. I think I'll have to start using MyFitnessPal to track calories again. I've been trying to guess and generally trying to stay under 1800 a day but I've definitely cheated a few times on that.

10st13.0lb
After a week of missing a few days of work outs, poor eating including 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, peanut m&ms, Rowntrees gummy sweets, a 90g ferrero rocher chocolate bar in one sitting (oh how I promised myself I'd ration it over a 5 days), Wispa bar, 2 foot long Subways (don't ask, separate visits), bag of crisps and worst of all 500ml bottle of coke and 330ml can of coke I'm pretty happy with this result! Mustn't fall into false sense of security though, still 6lbs off my target.

I was 13st 7 this morning marking a new low (well on this diet anyway - still a stone off my all time best adult weight). Recording calories on MyFitnessPal really helping. Swapped what I thought was a reasonably heathly breakfast (bowl of shreddies with some nuts) for fruit and natural yoghurt which has made a big difference. I was basing the calories of the cereal off the info on the box, which was 200 per 40g serving. 40g isn't enough for a child - turns out I was actually measuring out 100g (i.e. a normal bowl full) - add on the milk and nuts and that was nearly 700 of my daily calories gone. Lots of carbs too. New breakfast is 130 and seems to be having a massive difference already.

Some slight reduction on the back and sides of the spare tire. I have a lot more energy since I made some changes to my eating habits.
My aim is to be able to button up my shirts again by Christmas

A week away at a hotel last month has reversed some of my recent loss (went down a belt notch over a few months), but back on track again now.
Mainly being accomplished by not eating too much of silly things and having better breakfasts. All things I should've been doing anyway. N starts school in September which should free me up some time to start taking up some exercise again. I have unnetted shorts ready.
Should really start weighing myself again I suppose. GP has requested that for another issue anyway as well. I'd like to get down to 80kg again which I haven't been for at least a decade after losing weight at the end of the PhD and then rapidly piling it on after. Apparently my ideal weight is 70-75kg which I have not been since early my 20s so good luck with that.

I had a Wispa and a Cadbury's Caramel. The smaller multipack versions if that makes a difference?

You haved lived, sir. I salute you. A Wispa is nothing to feel bad about. It is full of air bubbles! And we were denied them for too many decades.

I also commend the use of the name 'Cadbury's Caramel' and not 'Dairy Milk Caramel'. Brand unification be damned!
If it makes you feel better I had a 250ml bottle of Coke and a small bowl of Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato with toasted chocolate cake off cuts today. I was going to do weights but went for Insanity Max Plyo instead to compensate. After the "warm up" once I got into the main circuits really wasn't feeling it but stuck with it. Last 20 minutes found a groove again. Tough 55 minutes for sure.

Weighed myself for the first time in years last night. Too high as expected but glad I have lost a bit anyway in the last few months (as judged by belt notches) before stepping on them.
Better eating habits needed and putting in some exercise once Naomi is in school in September...

It's wednesday morning, so back on the scales. 10st11.4lb Same this week. Not so much cardio and those home baked hazelnut chocolate chip monster cookies that are 2/3rds sugar probably didn't help. Neither did having one warm for dessert topped with hazelnut chocolate gelato and toasted chocolate cake off cuts. I regret nothing!
