I find myself somewhat lukewarm on all of these, as I generally am on much of Legacy these days. Looking at the figures I can pretty confidently imagine what they'll feel like in hand, and that for some reason makes me less enthused about actually buying them. There won't be any surprises. They're good looking figures, generally solidly made, but... that's it. I dunno. Maybe I'm starting to just burn out. The only thing keeping me going on these lines is the availability of characters we've not had before. Point in case is the Pax and Trion set. It certainly looks good, very cartoon accurate. Except the PottoP Pax that combined with his trailer, despite being less cartoon accurate, was more interesting. Likewise TR mid-life-crisis Alpha Trion was, whilst in no way cartoon accurate, at least interesting in what it was doing. These are competent, but uninteresting. Will I break and get them anyway? Maybe..? But only if discounted. Twitter: https://twitter.com/Protoman/status/1550261560722997248

The Trion/Pax box looks like a scene from James Bond. "Do you expect me to talk?" "No, Mr Pax, I expect you to die."

How much?! Fuck off! Another one to pick up in a sale next year. Orion and A3 £84 here. $67 in the US. SG Soundwave £39.99 here. $62.99 in the US. Something very odd going on there.

I think Soundwave is priced wrong. £40 is what that trio cost in Smyths, what, three years back? It's also only a pound more than Flamewar. Doesn't make sense.
By today's prices that set seems reasonable, which on pulse means it must be wrong!

Yeah that can do one. A £25 (tops) Deluxe and a £35 (tops) Voyager, that's £60. Which makes Vector Sigma and the fancy box worth £24? I don't think so.

I'm gonna use that Orion Pax as Gobot Road Ranger

Sale for me too (if at all).
While Ive probably seen the episodes I have no recollection of them so my desire for cartoon accuracy is lacking.
And Ive already got TR and Botcon Alpha trion and T30 and TR Orion. The Botcon A3 might not be screen accurate but Vector Prime ancient clock work vibe is too perfect and T30 Orion is a mould I love.

I'd forgotten there was a TR Orion Pax.

I'm in. While I have zero attachment to either Alpha Trion or Orion Pax, or Floro Dery's horrid designs, the Key to Vector Sigma is an important Beast Era artifact, Orion works really well for Road Ranger (in a way the actual TF road ranger nor the tr orion do not), and I actually really like that Alpha Trion even though I never cared for any previous toy of him before.
And unlike SG Soundwave, it's not overpriced (at least stateside).

I am annoyed at how much I like this set. I'm not going to buy it unless it gets discounted, but it does look good.

As someone who had Key to Victor Sigma and War Dawn on the same VHS, and who watched it to death as a kid, you'd think I'd be all over this set. But with other more interesting (if not 100% Sunbow-accurate) Orion Paxes and Alpha Trions having been released over the last few years, it just isn't the draw that it might have been, say, ten years ago. What a time to be alive...
Glad to see they've seen sense with the price, though. That's £60 for the figures (see above) and then £10 for the accessories and nicer box, which is in line with other exclusives. So it's better, for sure.

Going from the box art that's a POTP girlbot and another Kup?

Well that'll teach me for not picking up the Heroes Reborn set in the Pulse sale. I was tempted, but even 30% off seemed like too much for me. And now...
That said, I do of course have the PottoP Orion Pax, which'll be good enough to stand next to these. Although I'll also be waiting on a discount for these - as well as "Erial" being based on the Legacy Arcee mold, which is awful, it's also disappointingly predictable that she's just that mold again. Hasbro back at their "all female characters must share the same mold" nonsense...

I can see WHY, in this case though. The animation model doesn't leave much wriggle room, and the Elita-1 toy is already recent and pink. Short of a new mould, which defeats the point of these sets, I can't think of any other toy that fits.
I don't have the other set, but I could be tempted by this, because who thought we'd ever get a mainline Dion?
