Seems Im on my own in much preferring it to the Seige/ER versions.
Although I agree its a bit plain, I think thats what I like about it. Its just the basic cartoon Prime in toy form. Im especially happy with how accurately plain the lorry mode is.
For me its a better representation of the animation model than the last MP which seemed to go for a slightly different version of the onscreen model with big chest windows, one thats arguably more interesting but not the one I like.
Right now my only doubt is the thigh colour. In the leaked image they looked white, the official ones look a dull grey. I like the white, I do not like the grey. This is likely to be the difference between a full price purchase and hoping for it showing up half price.

I like it.
Trailer's bigger in proportion to the robot and we think the robot is bigger. Much better gun
Pictures next to something known would be useful instead of just guessing from peg sizes

Since Classics/Generations started I only picked up Classics and then Netflix Optimus Prime at time of release, so my collection has never felt inundated with Optimii.
I think I do like this one, so I'll be putting funds aside for him.
And I suspect that'll be be done with Generations Optimuses. Until a Powermaster version comes along, anyway...

I've got the Legends Super God Ginrai and the Primitive Skateboarding versions of Powermaster Prime, which, as you say, don't quite count as Optimus or scratch the Powermaster itch.

I just can't see what this does that the ER Leader did for almost half the price!

Kapow cheapest at £85. Too much for me to justify. Will wait for a sale. I only have the 'dead prime' version of the Earthrise toy.

And for me, its better proportioned than ER. the colours are better. Its less detailed (the mainline has been too heavy handed on detailing since Seige) and based on those photos and previous commander class toys its going to be nicely complex to transform.

See, those are pretty much the reasons it doesn't do it for me. I like the detailing and proportions on ER better, while the trailer size and roller is a non-issue. Commander's size is slightly better but not enough of a difference. Would appreciate an optimus that isn't absolutely dwarfed by Grimlock, but this one is now gonna be bigger than all megatrons, except for CW.

That is a very large Optimus. The Megatron in this line better be that big because this Prime will look silly next to the siege megs mould. Within his own ranks though he'll look mighty imposing.

It looks quite gappy, but I think the shape and size is fine.
And as its doing a lot of the heavy lifting to make both modes otherwise look so neat so I can live with gappy.

Sold Out on pre-order EVERYWHERE already! I KNEW I shouldn't have gone out tonight!! Check Pulse regularly, they frequently restock preorders a couple of times But there's no way this will have just one go. They'll be more, and probably a few available around release.
