Haha, excellent, if you're going to leak images at least have some fun with them!

If it came with that piano it would be an instant buy! -Ralph Prime... I'll reserve judgement until we see more of it. But whatever we see, the actual official release pictures can only be disappointing now.

It looks nice but I am struggling to see how it has enough to it to justify Commander price rather than the ER Leader one.

I don't see what that optimus is doing that's any better than ER.
I'll wait for a repaint.

It does not appear that his chest windows open to recreate his most iconic moment in the movie this thing is supposed to represent

It looks nice but I am struggling to see how it has enough to it to justify Commander price rather than the ER Leader one. -Ralph They wanted a big toy in the line, and they added a little bit of plastic to it - in the form of Roller. So it has to be more expensive to cover the costs of the extra components. But as Transformers works on a fixed price-point model it has to go up to the next largest discrete slot - so it is increased to the Commander price because there is no price point between that and Leader for it to be increased to. If Transformers had variable price points where they could have had finer control over the pricing then they could have done it differently. But as it is the model is that there are discrete price points, each of which accommodates a given range of materials, engineering and manufacturing costs, and anything that doesn';t fit into one has to go to the next largest price-point. I'm assuming it's like Hot Rod, and the engineering is what's doing the price hike. More complex than a Leader.

Or maybe he has an action feature where you press a button and then he goes for a wee lie down and turns grey.

Well this is the 'movie accurate' Studio Series 86 line, so that would make sense...

I'm assuming it's like Hot Rod, and the engineering is what's doing the price hike. More complex than a Leader. Aye, I think that's what's going on here. Given that the wheels aren't at all visible in the robot mode I'm guessing that it'll have a Masterpiece-inspired transf- conversion, and the cost is reflective of that. Unfortunately, that kind of thing doesn't do it for me. I was hoping that the trailer would maybe at least be a little more detailed, or offer something interesting, but it really is just an upscale of the previous ER/Core version. And I know the original trailer *is* fairly simplistic, but you know. So yeah, this is not for me. Unless I see it at half price somewhere. Because I'm that much of an easily-sold hypocrite.

Foolish Llama. If the trailer did stuff then the whole package might lean dangerously towards being...a roy.

The trailer is longer in proportion to the figure. The size of the pegs & holes on the new toy make it look larger than the Earthrise toy I'd suggest the actual toys look more like this in proportion with each other

Looking at them side by side, I'd venture to say the ER mold has more personality to it.
I'll wait for a repaint. (He says as if Jetfire wasn't the only commander to get a repaint)

That's the thing isn't it. By making them as close to the animation models as possible they limit the amount of kibble (see: no wheels on the legs) that makes these robots interesting to look at.
