Given the lengths that they've gone to to make the robot mode animation model accurate, and to have it transform in such a way that the silver stripe is missing on his truck mode so that that's also accurate to the animator's... "choices"... it's a little disappointing that they've made absolutely no effort with his chest compartment. A bare, plastic area with a tiny grey lid on it does not in any way evoke that iconic, emotional scene in the movie. Which, to me, seems to be missing the point a little... |

And, eh, I don't actually think this figure is *bad*. I'm just a bit worn out from it being another incremental improvement after the last one, and still bitter over the really poor trailer that they gave us with Earthrise (*without* Roller!), because this is what we should've had in the first place. But in isolation, this toy is pretty good.
Now to wait and see how many repaints of this we'll get. There's going to at least be a Shattered Glass and a Sleep Mode, right..?

While they could have done a bit more I think achieving what was seen on screen is nigh on impossible without substantially downsizing the Matrix - look at my pictures above - which then would make it very difficult to hold - remember Magnus' Thumb Matrix last year? I'm relatively comfortable with this as a necessary compromise |
