There's also a wave 3 and 4 they're expecting out by the end of the year and some limited edition packs. They showed a Golden Lagoon set last night, five figures but I think it was £90. I recall seeing Sideswipe that looked quite nice and Shockwave was the Wave 4 chase figure.

Ralph bought 4 cases of Galaxy Vision: wave 1, wave 2, wave 3, wave 4. I was not alone in doing this... -Ralph

My intel was incorrect!
Spence and Turnbull would be on my suspect lists...

This is what we like to see. Ralph going absolutely nuts even when his responsible adult is present.

I was having real problems figuring these out, and why people were going so nuts over them. The first few pictures I had seen online made it just feel like they were much, much bigger Robot Heroes.
But now I realise that they are basically SD Gunpla, only of Transformers it makes sense. Clearly they have whatever the magic that makes SDs so fantastic.
I don't think that these are for me. Especially if, as I am hearing, they are blind-packed. But it is really nice seeing people enjoying them so much!

They are essentially chunky Action Masters you put together yourself but easily and don't require any model-making skills. A good range of characters and cheap (lower than the cheapest Hasbro TF toy price point). They can be bought by the case.
I have no idea what Gunpla is.

Gunpla is a portmanteua word formed from Gundam and Plamodel. Gunpla are various kinds of plastic model kits of ships and mecha from the Mobile Suit Gundam series which can be assembled oneself - many types not requiring much in the way of model-making skills (just being "push-fit" and not needing glue or paint). .
SD Gunpla are renditions of mecha with somewhat "cutesified", cartoonish proportions. The Blokee's don't look to be quite as cartoonish as to make them SD, but they do feel like they are somewhat more caricatured than the Sunbow show models.
They look a lot of fun, and I can see why they are going down so well with people.

I'm interested to know if there are ten figures in a wave including the chase but they come in cases of nine, does that mean a case has all the nine figures of the wave in, but in one in four cases the standard version of the chase figure is swapped out for the actual chase figure. Or if it's all random.

IIRC a case has all 9 figures but one of them might be the chase version of a character in that wave.

That actually isn't a terrible set up. Buying an entire case guarantees a set of a wave with no duplicates, so if you want to collect all of the molds then you can just snag a case and call it good and not have paid for extras you may not want. Or if you want to go "all-in" and pursue the chase figures you can.
That's better than a lot of blind-packed stuff.

Yep, agreed. Good idea. Ralph must inspect the boxes and see if there are individual product code numbers for each figure to please Phil.

Karl Yup, and I mentioned that as part of the feedback to the Blokees team on their stall. Very approachable and genuinely enthusiastic about the products. No hard sells and they had built figures out that folk could handle with no commitment to buy. A case is only £65 and you get all the characters. Stress free. No hassle. I can see Blokees doing gangbusters. The figures look less SD in-hand. They are really just chunky Action Masters. They are better, cheaper and smaller than Hasbro's last attempt at TF figures (RED). For less than the cheapest Hasbro TF toy (Core class) you can get a fully articulated figure with accessories. No modelling skills required. I find models stressful when proper skills are required but these are just push-fit. The parts can be swapped between figures allowing for creativity/making your own composite characters. They won't be for everyone but they are a breath of fresh air for TF toys and a nice alternative line. -Ralph
