Thanks everyone, from what I can gather from my dad, my mum has been discharged but is on a lot of medication and will be off work from a considerable while + has to go back in to hospital next week.
Things haven't been too good in the Lawton-Johnson household due to a dispute over electricity payments with Eon (way too complicated to get into on here) and them trying to charge us 3.5 times what we previously paid to another supplier who we switched to and paid for 10 months (15 months ago) until Eon told them they hadn't actually switched us and we owed Eon for our electricity (which the other supplier refunded the cost to us) - and have had this dragged on by Eon (forced to stick on their "standard" tarrif / unable to switch as our apartment block has cross-meter connection problems allegedly - which is untrue after one of Eon's own engineers confirmed our meter was 100% our meter) for a further 5 months. The pricks are now trying to make us pay £1180 for 15 months electricity in a 2 bedroom apartment when we would have paid scottish power £740 for the exact same thing if Eon hadn't ballsed up. The regulator is no help either as they said we would have to pay it.

I've had problems with similar wankery with utility companies in the past, when one company took over my account from the company I was with (but would not bill me for over a year), complaining I had given consent when I had not. I complained to the energy regulator and was politely told to fuck off.

The energy regulator is a useless organisation and does nothing. We had problems as well when we switched a while ago.

That is why I have never bothered switching energy provider, and have just left things to lie. The idea of the amount of hassle involved in doing so just leaves me cold.

Oh - could I trouble you gentlemen for some channeling tomorrow night for me and Steven from 1930 for about an hour. We are doing the first race of the year a 10 k in Kinross, both of us coming off the back of a bit of a virus (which has disrupted training for the last week).
