Cheers lads. Shaved a minute off me time from last year despite being held up at the back due to slow people.

Found this thread heh.
Going to need some channelling for this weekend because I'm having a long road trip to pals wedding reception before she goes off to Italy with her new hubby.
Problem is my nemesis problem from a while back is insisting on tagging along with the road trip with our group of friends and family to there. I know this guy is going to be a problem non-stop.
Hopefully this should be resolved and he will be told not to come along by my friend and the majority, since my friend is one of the girls he used to letch around and he's very bitter about her marrying someone else.
The channeling request really is for my own struggle in all of this. I know for a fact if he does turn up and possibly cause problems I will have to act and do something I'll regret. I've done well battling my anger issues over the last few years (at least I think so anyway), but this weekend is going to be a real test because in all honesty trolls need to stay under thier bridge even if I have to drag them under.

I find it useful to recite something under my breath and go for a walk when the red haze of anger descends.

I'd agree with Ralph - sometimes just absenting yourself from a situation to take a few minutes to cool down and allow the anger to pass over you can work.
I have done it a couple of times when circumstances threatened to cause an enormous arguement with work colleagues and found it helpful.
I will of course provide channelling as requested in support of your coping strategies Ken.

Aparentley I found out later the 'problem' has been invited, but has to arrange getting his own transport down. I think this is a big mistake and that some of my friends are a little wishy-washy at the worst of times. As I've said elsewhere, Trolls should stay under thier bridge.
I hate to be further negative, but I feel I have to be on standby at the receptition if anything kicks off. This is the protective husband instinct talking. Then again I may not have to, because if he causes a scene he'll simply show himself up. This guy is 10-times worse than a certain Mr C ever was. Maybe this is a true test of calm vs anger.
Ta for listening and commenting guys.

Ken, you should employ The Four Fs;
Forgive, forget and forge forwards.
In my experience, people like that are just attention seekers. If you can't stomach seeing things from his point of view (he may be trying too hard to fit in or whatever) then it's probably best to ignore him.
Don't ruin your friends' day out because of him.

aye, the bride should be the main focus at any wedding that's THE BRIDE.
anyway I agree with graham, and just try and be polite if he is still being a jackass forget him!

You guys are totally right.
I'm just angry because I've had my buttons pushed for so long. It's kind of like dealing with Animated Dirtboss and I'm in the Bulkhead role.
Since the road-trip part of the day has been resolved, at least things will get off on a good start to build on.

I would suggest you look for opportunities to stay as far away as physically possible, as often as possible, if even the thought of this chap gets you worked up. This is something I do.

Can I have some channeling tomorrow please. It's for a job interview. I'm compromising on pay, working pattern and physical location but it's with the NHS so could lead to things down the road and also I'm bloody desperate.
Test of Unknown Type from 9am - 9:20am, interview from 9:20 - 10:05 am.

FULL SHOCKPROWL CHANNELING POWER TO DOC'!
Hero, Just caught up with the thread, CHANNELING TO MAXIMUM. I agree with everyone's comments, however part of me wants to just snap the guy in half (remembering how you've described him previously). I guess it's just about beging the bigger/better person. Which IS the right thing to do. But it's hard sometimes! I think Doc' and Karlos have the nail on the head with the 'stepping back' strategum, cooling off, 'cos most of the time the target is NOT worth the trouble. Although there are times when one has to defend ones friends, but I channel it wont come to that! Best wishes buddy!

Thanks for the replies again you guys.
I got a call from my friend this morning, and it seems like things are all under control. Now I can put that aside and focus more on having a good evening out (which is also George's birthday too).

The Saturday went ok and no bad conflict ensued. Sadly, I wish I could say the same about the drive home when the brother-in-law our driver decided to act like a prat most of the way back, got lost several times and decided to drive like a maniac. Being in a large previa full of people angry at the driver until 3am is not fun, but I at least kept the peace til we all got home even though I was cross also.
I have a dissertation meeting tomorrow. I've no idea yet what I want to do. As far as ideas go, I am running on empty and have a week afterwards to produce a proposal.

I need high priority channeling for 9:30-11:30am tomorrow for job interview and test. If I don't get this one, it'll be a long winter as otherwise apps have dried up again.

I would like to make a request for some channeling, if I may. It's for a very close family member recovering from surgery and waiting for some results. Thank you.
