Which reminds me, I need to find which box has my copy of Reconstructed in it for when we next gather. Only managed 10 mins of it first time round.

I think I have pretty much all the versions that came out on VHS/DVD. I even still have my own very first VHS copy I got from Gavin in 1997. That carded G2 Bulletbike was well traded.
Before owning my own copy I used to borrow the tape off a classmate in school.

I remember getting the VHS of the movie too - it was the day before the big storm in 1987 (8th October?). I watched it in the evening and was very excited to hear that there was no school the following day due to the hurricane. I thought I'd be able to watch the Movie again and again all day. Problem was, because of the storm, all the power was out.

Didn't get the VHS for years, it was never available where I was as a kid when I had money. I was okay though. I had Arrival From Cybertron and then The Return of Optimus Prime and The Rebirth to get me through.

Short featurette on the remastering for the 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray. This really does look like STUNNING Howard Donald.
Plus the trailer:

Do we know if the UK release will be a direct port of the US edition though?

I think it is. Same extras, same cover, and the listing on Amazon does say "The TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE 30th Anniversary Edition featuring the newly remastered movie from a new 4K transfer of original film elements". It's coming three months behind the US release.

Pre-order link up for iTunes as well. £13.99 for HD.
I had to.
Don't judge me.

When is the Blu-Ray out? I must have it even though I do not have a Blu-Ray player.
Don't judge me.

I think that's permissible for the sake of completion - especially where the 3D version has extras that aren't on the 2D one. Or in the case of The Wolverine, a different cut of the movie.

Full version of Machine Regime's re-record of Instruments of Destruction.
Which quite frankly fucking rocks. Worth 79p of anyone's cash on itunes.

The blue ray version is tempting me to buy a blue ray player purely because of the stunning level of clarity in contrast to all the DVD versiosn I own (3 I think). The Machine Regime version of Instruments of Destruction is dreadful sadly Doug Aldrich should have done a tutorial on how to play the guitar solo from Lion's cover of the TF theme instead
