Ray Park is Snake Eyes. That is all that matters.
I hope they don't ask Eccleston to do a Scottish accent.

I thought John Lithgow played a wonderful bad guy in the film Cliffhanger but then he had to ruin it all by appearing in this drivel.

This casting is excellent! Apart from Sienna Miller, Heavy Duty instead of Road Block and Marlon Wayans playing the white Irish guy. I'd even complain about the Korean guy playing a Japanese if I didn't like his other movies so much.

Traci Brooks of TNA wrestling would look smokin' hot as the Baroness. ^^

Ick no, she looks like a man with a bad boob job. Monica Bellucci would make a great Baroness! She's European and would look great in PVC. If they put Tomax and Xamot in the inevitable sequel, they should get that fella who played Xander in Buffy along with his twin brother.

I'm with you there Monica Belluci would be a much better choice. Traci Brooks is indeed a bit mannish and as she can't act in a wrestling show she'd stink up the big screen something awful. Good call on the Tomax and Xamot casting.

Fair to say, high camp is about the only thing that could make a Gi Joe movie entertaining for me. I'm not sure I could stomach a Gi Je movie that was played straight.

This looks like a film that has an epic degree of stupidity to it. I am thoroughly looking forward to it. It looks like it is a film that will ideally be seen in convivial company, after one or two drinks to set the mood appropriately.
(Of the two trailers for big dumb movies that the Superbowl gave us I think this one is actually the trailer I most enjoyed. I think it is the fact that it is full of the promise of a truly heroic level of cheese, both in the action - highly visible wire-fu ninjas - and in dialogue).

It just occurred to me that there was no G.I.Joe trailer before ROTF, which surely would have been an obvious place to trail it. In fact, I haven't seen any trailers, not even in front of other likely films such as Wolverine and Star Trek. Has anybody seen a trailer in the cinema yet?

I saw it before ROFD (get the acronym right Nigel). Wasn't that impressed by it but then again I never really liked GI Joe.
