We should have a weekend fixed in the next couple of days.
Who is interested in coming up to Glasgow, getting some drinks. Partaking in The Yomtov Factor? Nick's Quiz of Doom (ask John Cullen about it if you want the real gory details). Naturally there will be a free fanzine available.

Great! My record for ScotCon attendance is pretty good to date and I don't want to spoil it, so I'll hopefully be there.
At the moment I'm free all weekends in Oct./Nov./Dec. except for the weekend of 14 Nov., hint, hint.

I'm up for that - again, schedule willing. I've never been able to hang out that long - but I aim to fix that.

Same here. October is fully booked, but November is free at the moment. Also depends on if I have the money to travel down.
I've never been to Scotland before either and always wanted to check it out. Hopefully, this is the year I actually make it down.

I hate to break it to you Ken, but you don't make it down to Scotland from Bristol, we are a little further north than you!

Modified from the Goon Show:
"Tonight we march south to Scotland!"
"But Scotland's north!"
"Aye, we're gonna march right round the world and sneak up on them from behind."

What's good in Glasgow, hotel-wise?
And which is the best train station to aim for?

Not sure about hotels, not having stayed in any. Both Queen St and Central station are in the centre.

Thanks, Ralph.
Just looking at the trains now. Three hours direct from Crewe to Central Station. Faster than I thought!

Excellent, thanks!
What is the usual timetable of events for a Scotcon? I am thinking of coming up on the Friday evening after work and back home on Sunday afternoon.
