You will be there, in our hearts. We will all raise a glass and say "TO PHIL, HE IS INCREDIBLE" - the very foundations of the pub will shake.

Actually, the shaking may have more to do with Buchanan St subway station being on one side of the pub and Queen St low level on the other, but the gesture will be made nonetheless.

Verily, Philip of Ayres, tankards shall be raised in thine honor in the drinking halls of the Golden City of Glasgow

How is the best place to get there/stay? Just re-reading over this thread, I noticed this marvellous question. It's perfect. Exactly what would happen if the question "How best to get there?" tried to escape through an interdimensional portal but was jumped on from behind by its nemesis "Where is the best place to stay?" so that they got merged together into one hybrid being floating in the interdimensional void. I shall ponder this phenomenon on my journey whilst re-living the Muppets' Bohemian Rhapsody. Martin

Judging by the fact that they haven't replied to that question yet I would assume that drinking is probably well underway by this point.
My flight will be arriving around noon tomorrow so I should be in Glasgow for around 1.30is. I've got Karl and Andy's mobile so I'll call tomorrow when I'm on the Prestwick Express to arrange a meet up. I don't have to go to the hotel right away as I'm only bringing a backpack and won't be lugging much around.
Hope everyone has fun tonight and, all being well and barring any delays, I'll see you all tomorrow.

I drink only cream soda as I am at home. In the morning I shall travel through to Glasgow for the mayhem.

I believe the colouring in competition was perhaps the high point of the carnage. My eyes still hurt from some of the colour combinations!
Nick drew two awesome Hubcap pics as well.
And Ralph and I fought hybrid TF battles with coffee merchandise from Japan.

Just got back in the door. I was up at 5am this morning to make sure I got to Prestwick in time for the flight. The flight was a merciful 25 minutes, but i had to wait for almost an hour and a half for the first bus to go home. Relaxing now with a cup of tea and a Wagon Wheel and will probably get an hour's kip before applying the labels to Sky Garry. A fun weekend over all, hope to be back next year for more craziness.

Great weekend, had a blast, great to catch up with folks again and to welcome some of the Moonbase 2 chaps along for the beer and insanity!
Well done on the chat and for I imagine making up two thirds of the readership of Dawn of the Dread Force!

It was indeed a great weekend. A lot of god quality yacking and madness, leavenend with the soul-rending agony that was the quiz. Beer was drunk, chat was chatted and a very good time was had.
Fantastic to catch up with folks for a banter again - and very good indeed to meet some of the Moonbase 2 crowd as well.
