I thought Overload sat down when flying his trailer.

SITS DOWN?!?!
Oh wait, I see.
...
No, he still can't do it. Peg him into that hole and he still can't sit square without the ramp being pushed out. He doesn't fit in his own vehicle!

I'm deeply disturbed that the mighty Autobots sit down to go into battle. This does not sit well with me.
And it sits even less well with Overload himself. Who can't sit well full stop.

Well I have to say that Erector and Flattop have raised the bar a fair bit when it comes to these transports. Roughstuff is a bit rubbish all round, and while Overload has a lovely vehicle mode with the option to transport Micromasters, his attack mode is causing me all kinds of problems because he just doesn't fit in it and it doesn't really look like anything.
But Flattop! What a toy! his jet mode actually looks like a jet, his aircraft carrier actually resembles an aircraft carrier and he himself is a right little diva. I'm reliving his bits of Little Victories. Perfect character.
Erector is equally fun. The transport mode might be a little boxy, but it looks fine, and what a cool little base that folds out into. The only thing missing is a connector. And Erector himself has to be the best robot of these four. Chunky little dude who looks like a right bruiser.
The best thing about these new three is that apart from a little rust on the wheel pins, they're practically new. Excellent condition - nice tight joints.

It's no wonder Overload is so porky. He's the only one of these four who sits down to fight.

All I’m saying is I remember my Overload sliding in the rear quite snugly and never had any issues with the belly.

I'm sure I always sat my Roughstuff down to fly his transport, legs strapped in under the black safety bar with his arms holding it down from on top. There must be all sorts of health and safety rules against flying an open aeroplane standing up. All I’m saying is I remember my Overload sliding in the rear quite snugly and never had any issues with the belly. I'm sure we've all let ourselves go a bit since the 1980s. Martin

Yes, that's the way it's done. Pinwig should show us what's wrong with his, and maybe we could help.
I realise I'm overprotective of Overload, he was the lone Micro Transport I had as a kid.

Right, look. The flap that makes the ramp at the back of the lorry (behind Overload here) doesn't shut properly in this mode, you can see the gap at the top, and the grey piece with the handlebars on that folds over doesn't meet properly with the red flap at the side of Overload. Again, you can see the gap here. If he isn't in there this all meets up properly as designed. When he's in there he pushes those two pieces out of place.

I have taken a picture of my Overload, which I will try and upload somewhere in a moment to link the picture. His door closes, but he's missing the crossbar, so it's not a completely accurate comparison

The crossbar is the problem! without that he'll fit fine.

Mine used to have the crossbar, but I remember no problems with it.
We must buy another. Enlarge the sample size.

Rescue Patrol inbound. This means when they arrive, I'll have all of the 1989 Micromaster releases and enough holiday time to get everything out together. Can't wait! I haven't been particularly thrifty with this, impatience means where I could have waited ages for better deals I jumped in instead. So, 10 months and £310 for everything.
Question is, will next year be the year of the 1990 Micromasters?

NO! NOOOO!!! You bunch of divorcemongering BASTARDS!
Pinwig! Enjoy what you've achieved! Play, PLAY! Enjoy... then, in the New Year, reassess, keep a cool head, and decided if you want to take The Next Step... in this particular collectomania.
(that's not to say any particular 'collectormania' is wrong or anything, it's just that it warrants careful examination and analysis, and NON interference by divorcemongering-types...)

This is perhaps the best reason to collect the second year of Micromasters. Otherwise you might end up being like Shockprowl? And I don't think the Hub has enough large font sizes for that!
