I posed the question on the call yesterday if anyone knew of a list that details all of the 2000AD publications extra to the normal progs because I can't find a current all-in-one answer anywhere. I trust in Barney's being right up to the point that stopped being updated, so I've done my own list. I think this is right, but I'm still wondering if there's anything I've missed. This is for UK published stuff, not the US Quality/DC/IDW comics. I'm just curious because although I have every Prog & almost all the Megazines I definitely don't have all the specials and I do like to have a comic collecting goal on the go. I think the list is:

I miss Annuals/Yearbooks for Tooth. I wonder if the Treasury of British Comics 2004 Annual is partly a test to see if there is still a market for this sort of thing.

Currently reading the prose anthology tie-in to Scarlet Traces as it was going cheap. The comic strip looks amazing but doesn't do much for me. This is much better, more my cup of tea. Worth it for the Adam Roberts story alone.

Scarlet Traces was fine, but went on a bit too long - the first series and The Great Game are the good stuff. What came after was alright, but seemed to lack something the further the story went on.

I am experiencing the kind of quality customer service from the 2000AD shop they usually reserve for Ralph. Once that last Meg got to two weeks overdue, I contacted them to ask if it had been sent or if they'd not renewed by sub properly as this issue came two weeks after a renewal. The latter proved to be the case. This has happened to me twice before so it was an educated guess - why they have an automatic renewal system that means you miss the next issue after resubbing I do not understand.
Anyway, email with apologies, replacement issue sent etc.
It came today. I picked up the polybag, knew immediately there was no Meg inside, and instead pulled out issue one of the Battle Action Mini-Series. I checked the packing slip. It says Judge Dredd Megazine 456. Sigh.

Surprisingly quick reply from the shop, they're going to try again with the Meg and I can keep the Battle Action issue. So I guess I'm going newsagent for that series then given I've ended up with issue one free. Less chance of damage that way too I think. The covers deserve to remain uncreased.

I only bother with the Tooth store if they have something exclusive to them I literally can't get anywhere else! Too much hassle otherwise.

I really thought this 'miss the issue after you resub' problem had been fixed because it's not happened for a few years. IIRC they shifted the new sub payment date from the end of the month to the beginning to fix it. I've had no break in 2000ADs, but this Meg just didn't arrive. Still waiting. However, the Battle Action comic will get read later. That looks amazing.

I can't believe I missed the Johnny Red story being reprinted in the Meg first time round. Titan comics was it? This is a cracking story and Keith Burns is the perfect artist. Marvelous stuff.
The 10,000 Disasters of Dort is also far better than the title suggests it's going to be. Might have to buy that one.
If only that rubbish Death story would finish I'd say the Meg at the moment is more than worth the price of admission.

Case Files 43 18th Jan www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1837860947No contents yet but probably something like 1491-1494 Jumped 07/06/2006 - 21/06/2006 1495 Sanctuary 05/07/2006 - 28/06/2006 1496-1498 Neoweirdies 12/07/2006 - 19/07/2006 1499 Versus 02/08/2006 - 26/07/2006 1500-1504 The Connection (Origins ) 09/08/2006 - 30/08/2006 245 Splashdown 30/05/2006 246-249 Regime Change (reprinted Judge Dredd Mega Collection issue 28/volume 56) 27/06/2006 to 19/09/2006 Now that's a bit short, but the Megs are already way out in front of the progs. Problem is 1505-1519 are the first block of Origins, followed by a break 1520 The Streets of Dan Francisco 1521 The Sexmek Slasher 1522 On Campus 1523-1528 Judgement Origins then resumes 1529-1535. Megs to the end of Origins are 250-252 Cadet 253 Death Row 254-255 Shadowkill 256 The Hotshot 257 Asbo Block So I *SUPPOSE* they could go big on the Megs to avoid breaking Origins into 3 bits and then get all 31 issues covering it into one book? Or bump the 9 issues in the middle of Origins into CF43?

Cover is up, nice big image so I can read the Progs and Megs Progs: 1485-1504 Megs: 245-257 So that'sThat's quite a discontinuity between dates there with the progs finishing pre Origins and the Megs post Origins which does rather suggest Case Files 44 is going big on the Prog Origins issues
