Ooh. So we'll soon know if the rumblings about it being complete are true. NOT according to recent rumours. They'll save that one for a HC you'll pay through the nose for. However my CBZ of the story is complete

Ta for the link. I do have the original issues in my 2000AD archive so I have read them before now. Not really worth the fuss to be honest...

So who liked the second story in the FCBD 2000ad? I had a hint as to what it was actually about at the beginning but BIG cheer at the end with the reveal

I've never managed to get hold of any of the FCBD issues. I've never seen them to buy anywhere. I'll have to remember disposable heroes in future.
It's another one of those small things that I can't help but thinking subscribers should be sent as a bonus incentive. I'm up for renewal again next month. £160 again. As the FCBD issue is supposed to be free, why not just stick it in the subs bag with this week's issue?
(Which has a glorious Dredd cover by the way)

I've never managed to get hold of any of the FCBD issues. I've never seen them to buy anywhere. I'll have to remember disposable heroes in future. The whole point is that they're not to buy! You go to your local comic shop first weekend in May and get one for free! I've used Disposable Heroes the last few years for FCBD stuff and they do the job.

I know the point of fcbd is that they're free but since the local comic shop closed I'm nowhere near one. I think the closest is probably forbidden planet 45 minutes drive away in Southampton. So I need to rely on online shops and as has been mentioned before the 2000AD offering never seems to turn up online. It's new to me that disposable heroes does it, so I'll know in future. I've always used reed comics for my buying but even then I've come to realise now disposable heroes are much cheaper.

Last of the Bad Guys is a classic, remember encountering it in a reprint in the 90's.

Case Files 25 cover and contents: westfieldcomics.com/comic-books/Judge-Dredd-Complete-Case-Files-Vol-25-SC/15061082Storywise that's The Pit: True Grot (970-999) The Pit: Unjudicial Liasons (970-999) The Pit: Last Rites (970-999) The Pit: Declaration of War (970-999) The Pit: Bongo War (970-999) Dead Reckoning (1000-1006) Return To The Hottie House (1007) and One Breath (3.16) Lethal Weapon (3.17) The Wounded (3.17) Control (3.18) Web (3.19) A close look at the accompanying text reveals it doesn't quite match the contents of the volume: the text, also on Amazon, insinuates that 1009 Death of a Legend should be in the book.

Yeah think it will have that and the post Necropolis stuff at least I hope it does, as it has some amazing Jeff Anderson artwork.

It's probably among the best work of Garth Ennis' tenure on Dredd. I wasn't that much of a fan of his work it was a bit hit and miss.

Very pleased to see a new Edginton/D'Israeli strip debuting this week. One of my favourite 2000AD partnerships of the last... wait, how long have they been working together? I was going to say few years, but it's really not just a few now is it...
Seems only Slaine now still going from the last jump on issue, prob time to get caught up again.

I am catching up on the last few weeks and my opinion of Slaine remains what it has always been: great looking strip but utter gibberish. Should have been retired years ago. It just won"t fucking die!!!

If you like Edgington/D'Israeli I recommend tracking down Scarlet Traces, their post War of the Worlds tale. Brilliant stuff. They've been working together since the early 2000's but I think Leviathan might be their first work with 2000ad. Love D'israeli's art.

Slaine is one of those strips that I appreciate for the art more than anything else, individual stories here and there have been good, but it's not Pat Mills best work.
I still think Nemesis the Warlock up to Book 9 to be his best for 2000ad, elsewhere - Marshall Law.

Slaine is...what it is I guess. It is a slightly unhinged, Metal and gothic take on Irish Celtic myth. It's high point is definitely the art, with the story varying somewhat in quality (and sometimes verging on the incomprehensible). I like Slaine, but it is by no means amongst the best thing in Tooth.

Megazine has had a re-design. Carlos back on Dredd, huzzah. Thank fook American Reaper is gone. Decent line-up though the layouts on the pages on Paul Grist's strip were a bit confusing to follow to my eyes. But overall a stronger line-up than what's been running since I started reading regularly again late last year.
Tooth ain't too bad right now either.
I look forward to the special but...Robo Hunter? Really? That's still going?
