There is an element of having to do it, for protecting trademarks, but they aren't half cack-handed about the way they go about it.

A well-worded statement from DC there - "unforgettable stories" is technically an accurate description of what Bendis has done over at Marvel, however you choose to take it...

It's funny to think that 17+ years ago I was happily reading Sam and Twitch, Jinx, Torso, eagerly awaiting Powers #1 and didn't think he could do much wrong. Ha.

Yup. Powers was great the first few years though increasingly went off the rails and off schedule. I put up with it the first two times it went off schedule and gave up the third time. Alias was excellent. His X-Men run started well but tailed off massively half-way through and didn't even have an ending. Don't start me on his Avengers run! I thought his Daredevil run was fab.

I think I agree with everything there! Alias really was great, I enjoyed his DD run but never found it quite lived up to the universal acclaim. I'd forgotten about his X-Men run - I did enjoy the early issues with the 60s team brought to the present now that you mention it. I stopped reading before it went off the rails.
I also liked the first few issues of Scarlett, but it suffered terribly with scheduling. Not even sure it got completed.

His run on Ultimate Spider-Man is great. He cannot write team books for toffee. He just doesn't juggle the expanded cast well enough and his X-Men run was as Ralph says a good start and had no ending.

Bendis couldn't handle The Sentry....
Hmm, but then again... who can?

Given the current sitiuation with prominent celebrities being exposed for predatory sexual conduct, the Eddie Berganza situation is rearing it's head again. I don't think he'll be able to ride it out this time.

Yep. DC should have taken action on that a long time since. Hopefully they will do the appropriate thing now.

Looks like a few creators popping their head over the parapets to have a go at DC now, hopefully this will not get swept away and proper action will be taken against him and any other people guilty of such conduct.

Not surprised, because all it would take is a slow news day when parent company Warner are about to put out their big Justice League movie for it to be the kind of publicity they would not want. Should have happened years ago though.

I think it was inevitable once Karen Berger left, very much her baby.
A little surprised it hasn't been quietly run down in the background before now.

For anyone familiar with the fate of WCW following the AOL/Time Warner merger there are some rather worrying signs.
