Matt, I've emailed my mobile number to you. Just in case.
I've been speaking to Sven Harvey and he's going to try to make it to catch up with us on Saturday evening after work.

I would still like to come, may depend on a two birds one stone thing with a trip to london as well to justify the cost.

I don't have a mobile phone myself, but would be pleased to have other people's mobile numbers in case of the unforeseen.

Had a minor panic attack that I'd double-booked myself with a friend's housewarming party, but, thankfully, that's this weekend and not next. So all systems are go for the 15th!

Bah. It turns out that I'm leading a course at a residential college outside of Stoke over that weekend, so I'm afraid I shall have to regretfully decline. Please consider doing another meet-up in Birmingham at some point though.
I hope things pass fine for those of you that are attending.

Sorry to hear you can't make it, Tim. I am sure there'll be other meet ups in Birmingham in the near future, providing no one embarrasses themselves this weekend!
What times are people's buses/trains/jetpacks getting in? I'm due 11ish, as is Martin.
I'm working on a wee quiz type thing this weekend and I'll dig out a suitable prize from my stocks. Nothing Movie-related; I couldn't bear to have one of those jabbed into my rectum.
We've sourced a nice pub not too far away from the centre that Mark and I have been to before, and it should suit our purposes. One thing, if anyone's bringing a video camera, please give plenty of notice as I have privacy issues and will duck out of sight during filming.
There is LOADS to do in Birmingham, so if anyone wants to do anything in particular, say now. And don't be afraid of asking to something grown up like the science museum or look at the Daleks.

There is LOADS to do in Birmingham Especially right now if you're a refuse collector, I hear... I too prefer not to be filmed. Photographs are bad enough but bearable. Martin

Will we be getting graded?

I grade everyone I meet - without the aid of a quiz for I am mighty!
I'll be in Brum on Friday night at about 1755.
Rather than pay over 100 quid for a train I have plumped for 25 quid for a coach there on Friday and a coach back on Sunday. Thank crunchie for the Ipad. I think the pdf of Eugenesis is going to be put to very good use.

Plus there's that new App that emits a certain frequency that stops toffee-wielding old ladies from sitting next to you on the coach!

Has anyone met Ed and Ben? I'll leave it to you modern types with mobiles to figure out how to identify one another on New Street Station. Matt and I are well acquainted, and I've seen Andy recently. No idea whether Graham and Mark now look anything like they used to, though, so best pick a specific meeting point to converge on at 11ish next Sat., I think.

Oh, and out of curiosity, Graham... would it be possible to pay you for a Polaris sub in person next week, or do you need it to go through the site?

I know its a daft question, but any idea how late its likely to go? I'm still looking at travel options but thinking about AA and the late nights there I almost wouldn't need a hotel room if I was getting the very early bus back to London. Or the very late train back if it ended early.
