Captain Shark is my other favourite transforming shark - he and Skybyte vie for the top-slot.
I am so tempted to pick myself up a Captain Shark but I shall remain strong - I have other plans for that money which must come first.
Still... Captain Shark is rather spiffy.

Thankgoodness I am stone cold sober and will remain so throughout the weekend. By which time Captain Shark mania will have passed and the temptation will be gone. Phew.
But think of Nick. He will be unable to restrain himself. He shall fall on Captain Shark's sword for us all.

I am so tempted to pick myself up a Captain Shark From this statement I can only assume that you know where one can be found. As you do not seem the type to spend an hour at a time trawling through Yahoo Japan auctions by picture, can I assume he's been reissued or sommat? EDIT: Ah, I see Ralph's link on the previous page. Must be done, I think! -Nick

Captain Shark is merely the tip of the iceberg. There is a mountain of stuff waiting for me in my proxy account in Japan. Selling the Binaltechs may leave me with LESS space.

Oh, I'll do it. It's just a question of getting a good price. The smaller of the two is still in stock all over the place and seems to go for peanuts. The larger one, however, was perhaps made in more limited quantities as he seems to be either sold out or wildly overpriced. The two combine together ergo I am contractually obliged as a lover of combining figures (platonically, I might add) to get them both, and together would inevitably work out cheaper. The question is... will I be able to get this set for a reasonable price or will some malcontent decide he's had enough of gaijin pushing up prices on his auction site and send the bidding through the roof?

I've got the reissue - first Brave toy I ever got, and partly responsible for my love of the line. From the picture it looks like part of Granbird's gun is coming along with him as well. Karl (The picture does seem to have vanished from the page from the second auction. I guess it is up to Nick to reveal its identity to those who don't already know).

Gah! The second auction is for a whole bunch of J-Decker stuff- a police car and truck that combine into a large robot, a fire engine and ambulance that combine into another large robot and a bloke on a motorbike that turns into a cannon. The whole shooting match also combines. Can't believe I got it for 13 quid.

F***ing steal. J-Decker is awesome - I think the rest of the Scots crew got to play with mine at Transforce 2001 (The Armada Megatron/Guardian Reporter incident one)
One of my favorite TFing toys

(Although I admit that sleep-deprivation claimed me later I was awake in the morning and thus able to to be duly wowed by J-Decker). Nick showed me the auction back when he was bidding on it, and it looks like it is a nearly complete Fire J-Decker giftset and in very good condition too. I am somewhat envious to say the least. Durn Brave book. It has reawakened my interest in Brave stuff. Speaking of which, I was doing some research today and discovered that the last "Brave" show of the batch "Gaogigar" seems to have had at least a partial US DVD release. Surprised me, I hadn't realised any of them had gotten to the West at all. Karl

I have yet to see the wonderful Captain Shark , but still I feel it will outshine my own recent addition - the Sonokong version of Skysaber. Very nice combiner, with a much more cleverly designed combination sequence than I was expecting. Big too - stands slightly taller than Jetfire. Well worth what it cost me, especially as it came with the stickers still pristine on the sheet. (Oh, Phil. I'd have been tempted by that Da Garn, except for the fact that I already have one meself.) Captain Shark has a gerwalk mode. -Ralph He has a Gerwalk mode? Avast, I like the sound of him even more now. (I do love those hybrid modes, theres usually something quirky and a little clunky about them that endears them to me). Sadly none of the Skysabre team can really pull off a decent Gerwalk mode. But I have noticed that Jet Saber shares and awful lot of design cues with Classics Jetfire (although he deals with the nose section in a very different way). Karl
