Various emails from them that contradict themselves and now they claim I never ordered certain things even though I have the receipt. Fuck them. Paypal dispute here we come.
What is it with comics shops turning into arses when you dare ask for your stuff?
Royal Mail are blameless this time. Completely blamless!

Chances are they did not get enough Limited Edition covers for customers and have handled it very badly.
Well, based on that I shan't bother ordering anything with them again.

Perhaps, but too few companies bother to apologise for mucking customers about so it was appreciated.

Indeed - it is a sign that they do have some level of concern for customer service that they did apologise.

Got a wee card from Royal Mail this morning. There was a bloke working in the garden next door when I set out, and I asked him if he knew how to get to the local sorting office. He pointed over my shoulder and said "just follow that road". Sure enough the sorting office is barely a couple of minutes away on foot. No more half hour forced march! No more asking my dad for a lift to Cambuslang since no bus goes near it from my area!
Actually I've no idea where the nearest Parcel Force depot is. Royal Mail is handy, but Parcel Force could be on the far side of the city for all I know.

Parcelforce has always send items to my nearest post office, which has generally been far easier than royal mails new sorting office the other side of the city.

Thanks Phil. Five and a half miles away. I think I'll get their things sent to the local post office.

Local RM no longer leaves stuff in sorting office for me. They have a new policy of only leaving things with strangers in the same block. Or today when they dumped a package outside my door. Rage against RM very high.

Pretty much how things happen around here as well. The only time things go to the sorting office is when they can't manage to get anyone in the cul-de-sac to take them in. This would be fine, as long as I felt I could rely on them to leave a card telling me where it had gone to - this has not always been the case. Fortunately I have kind neighbours who can be bothered to drop things around.

I don't want my stuff pinched, nor do I want to do RM's job for them but I have no option to opt out of this 'service'.

I have never in my life encountered such shoddy service from the Royal Mail as you two have experienced. It's insane- do you have any way to report your respective offices to their highers-up?

By contrast as I was walking home today my postman pulled over in his van today to give me a parcel he'd been unable to deliver to me 20 mins earlier.

See, now that is good postal service - closer to the sort of thing that happened when I lived on the other side of Falkirk. Sometimes it does seem to be a bit of a lottery as to what sort of service you will get.

One is having some difficulties with Amazon Logistics
I've had no trouble with Amazon packages being delivered by RM for the 10 years I've lived here. Unfortunately in the last couple of weeks books are now being distributed by Amazon Logistics.
They sent me RID5 and a nice email saying they'd delivered it and posted it through my letterbox. They hadn't they posted it through another letterbox down my street as I found out when a small child brought it over. I sent them an email complaining and instead of readi g it properly they assumed it was lost and sent me a second copy ..... which they have since threatened to charge me for and are forcing me to take the book to a specific location to get it back to them.
Next they fail to deliver a book that by my reckoning would have easily fitted through the letterbox.
Rapidly losing patience.

Phil use the live chat option, when I used it because of my broken predaking they were really helpful and you get a transcript of it all if something else goes wrong.

The book was delivered this morning by a driver who knocked on the door and didn't require a signature.
As he walked off down the road I slid the package in and out of the letter box just to satisfy myself that it would go through.

Here's a new one on me:
Well they didn't try here as there's no card. And we were in from 11:30 yesterday
It's the In Hawksworth PDO bit that worries me. Hawksworth Rd is my sorting office in Swindon. They've tried to deliver it there and couldn't?
