Unforgivable mistakes. It's numbers on a parcel, and numbers on doors, how can it be so hard?!

Sometimes I get mail for people with different surnames in different streets!
Nothing will ever top the period when my bank statements were being delivered to the middle of the street though.

No, it is difficult to imagine how they could do worse than that.

The latest spiffing wheeze was this morning. I was expecting a parcel. Saturday mail usually comes around 9am.
Knock on door. I moved from bed to door and opened it. This is just a few yards and took at most ten seconds. Opened the door. The postie had already fucked off up the stairs. I shouted at him. Had to hang around with the door open so I could catch him on the way back so I could get my bloody parcel! Otherwise I would never have got it!
FFS.
Makes a change from recent weeks when my mail was being delivered to a different address!

Today I found an item of mail for me wedged behind a pipe outside rather than through the letterbox (it is a thin envelope). As it was an event ticket I have been waiting on I am glad I just happened to notice it.

Well that was a unique way of delivering mail.

I'm not sure it qualifies as delivering it to be honest. It seems more like it was abandoned rather than delivered.

Speaking of which any updates on the other two boxes I sent this week or has the Burns postal curse spread to packages for him sent to different addresses?

Parcel 2 is at Turnbull Towers awaiting Burns and M claiming it's contents.
The fate of the last parcel is currently unknown.....

My local postal service are great, but as Toy-fu's purchasing moves into high gear and as exams and classes are over for my undergraduate flatmates, I am becoming progressively less popular as the postie keeps showing up with packages at 7.45 in the morning. Saturday was a particularly rough one.

What I failed to mention in the CUTA thread yesterday was I had TWO cards through the door
One was the expected CUTA for £16.06 inc $8 handling charge
The other was for a "this sender did not pay the full postage" for £16.06 inc £1 handling fee.
I'm betting someone put the number in, pressed the wrong button and sent the did not pay full postage message out by mistake.

I've been waiting for my jumbo Admiral Ackbar to turn up for a while now. And then today a ransom letter arrived demanding ~£23 for his release.

Yes. Always liked the oversized figures, but always passed as knew I'd struggle to find anywhere to display them. It's Ackbar though so I couldn't resist.

Three packages containing limited run items I can't get again utterly deatroyed by RM after they were left in the pissing rain on the back step all day. Complaint made.

The Pit is due later this week but Sdcc wamp and 2 RSD releases buggered. I did let one shop know what happened to their parcel and got a cheeky response.

Blimey my Wampa hasn't even dispatched yet.
I've had no post at all since last Thursday. Odd that. Expecting several things, not least books for school, but had nothing at all.
