I have tried Yodel Live Chat. I was informed my package was being held at a depot at customer request. This was...a lie.
I was told this can be seen on the app live tracking. This was...a lie.
I asked for my package to be actually delivered. "Could" be tomorrow but it takes at least 24 hours for any change to be done. This was...a lie.
Then Live Chat abruptly crashed. So, er, what?

Sounds like the delivery guy fell behind on his round and rather than admit it he wrote a lot of it off as customers requesting delays.

Meanwhile, Royal Mail claim I was not in this morning at 9:50am and so did not deliver a package that would fit in the parcel box anyway.
This was...a lie. Not only was I here (with full view of the street) but so were builders working at the front of the house at that time literally taking the front door off. It could not have been easier to make a delivery.
Tracking shows an "attempted" delivery at a house which is not mine. This was...a lie as the photo does not match where I live. The photo indicates my correct address and the package looks utterly fucked so that will be a mangled £30 book inside then. If they can be arsed delivering it.
Also, they did deliver a second package (which also would have fit in the parcel box)...to another house. That person popped round later to let me know.
FFS.
I am really fucked off!!!

Yodel package...sent to depot.
As our local Yodel service has now gone hyper-shit like elsewhere I will no longer be using stores which only ship via that carrier. Not worth the stress. Not on £100+ parcels.
A shame. The service used to be really good!

The Royal Mail package was initially delivered to an ML2 postcode. My postcode doesn't even start with an M.
It was then delivered (for the 3rd time) to me now. Packaging utterly fucked. Somehow, the book inside survived completely intact. Yay.

Lying bastards!!! They now claim I requested a second time to hold the parcel at a depot. I lost the plot on Live Chat. Will try again later.
Sorry, Booketc, you have lost my custom due to Yodel. I'll go back to Speedyhen.

Yodel tracking has updated. They now say...Saturday. When I am out. Instead of today (the 3rd delivery date I had requested without it actually being done).
I'm never going to receive this package, am I?

Tried Live Chat again. More lies. Told I had asked for Saturday delivery. I pointed out I had chat transcripts and asked to escalate to a manager. Request refused. Asked for the address of the depot so I can go look for it there. Request refused. Then told not coming on Saturday.
£114.79 of books I'll never see. I give up. Too stressful. I'll just write it off.

I am switching to Speedy Hen now anyway as they use RM.
RM has its problems but not as bad as this.

Royal Mail has lost a box of home baking the Elder Burns sent down. It's a new type of cock-up: upon investigation some ******* decided to CHANGE the postcode on it, sending it to Durham.
We do not live in Durham. Very very VERY angry about this.
