As predicted, I will fuck what is left of local businesses. The town will just be a big housing estate.

Indeed. It is a bit over 1 square mile in area. That is also the reason that the local authority which covers most of the surrounding conurbation was at one time the Greater London Council (GLC).
I mean, even the United Kingdom Parliament is not located in the City of London - it is instead within the City of Westminster.

We are now down to zero local cash machines.
In other news, the postal service has now settled down to once or twice a week for our street. This, obviously, is crap but it's better than it's been than in the last 6 months.
When there is talk of the universal deliveries possibly being reduced to 3 times weekly...that would now be an improvement!!!
Sigh.
Privatisation, eh? Always results in a better service!

My Selects Gobots set is currently at the Halifax delivery office when it should be in Swindon.
I have verified it is my parcel.
How do I get it back down south?

Service got better for a while and has slid backwards again. Another first class recorded delivery parcel is currently taking...5 days and counting to get here. Apparently it may be delivered...in two days time...somewhere near Newcastle... For a brief period we even had regular Posties! -Ralph

As predicted, I will fuck what is left of local businesses. The town will just be a big housing estate. -Ralph Closing the old Post Office and losing the cash machine caused a scene in the chemist recently. A lady was trying to get her prescription. Surgery card machine was down. No access to cash locally. She needed the life-saving medication and needed it then as they were shortly to be on a flight for work. The staff refused to release the prescription on an 'owing' basis until I went over and starting shouting. Access to a cash machine is needed for people! -Ralph

24hr delivery things around here normally get a special postie rather than the regular one. Very poor service in Mossley it seems.

I caught this photo earlier on in the week elsewhere on the interweb. Looks like the postie has wedged it in the roof of the porch Who'd be able to find a parcel if your postie did this?

The last two local Yodel drivers were very reliable.
Alas...
Booketc delivery did not turn up on Thursday. I then asked it to come today. It did not arrive during the "three hour window that cannot be changed". An hour after that I gave up and went out!
Place your bets now.
