Well mine is buggered and the records are ruined. Furious. How hard would it have been to leave a card?
Made my complaint to RM, which will be ignored. Just have to let it go. I have bigger worries in life.

Burns was at home in the living room and saw the Post Van park outside. Postie gets out and puts something in the external parcel box. He does not knock on the door.
Burns then goes to see what is in the parcel box. It is a 'you weren't in' card. Gee, thanks.

The complaint was of course ignored.
Royal Mail tells me they delivered a parcel this afternoon. No, they didn't. I was here at that time and there wasn't any sign of the postie van outside. Trying to find out who to contact on the website seems to lead to an endless loop round the same pages. Er.

Parcelfarce have a package for me from Booksetc. It's one, or more, of the four books dispatched yesterday, but I think we can guess the most likely contents.

RM tried to deliver package on Sat. Left card. RM48 tracking says it's at the PO since Sat pm. The PO today say they haven't got it as it was delivered today. It was not. I was in all day and other packages were delivered but not that.
So it's been lost or pinched. Fucking furious.

AAAAAARRRRRGGFFHHHHH.
First copy of a book never arrived and seller kindly refunded. Ordered from another seller but they had a stock-take problem so refunded. Tried again with a 3rd seller and they sent it via Parcelfarce a week ago on the 24 hour service. My heart sank. No sign of it. Never arrived.
Meanwhile, 2nd class mail sent two days ago turned up today.
The 2nd class service round here is excellent and very reliable. Items are always delivered 2 days later.
First class...special delivery...recorded delivery...turn up whenever. This is why when folk send me stuff I recommend using 2nd class!

Presents sent to parents opened and knicked en route. I have had it with RM. Sending stuff via courier from now. Just can't rely on RM. I'd rather spend more and know stuff will turn up.

Why the F*** have I been sent tracking messages by text for a parcel being delivered from Linlithgow delivery office?
I only know where Linlithgow is cos I've heard Andu pass commentary on the town.
Is this some attempt to TF Andu and make it appear as if I'm responsible by having my contact details on a parcel for the tracking?

Do you have Virgin Media? They're sending new adaptors to allow phones to be used with the new 'upgrades'. If you define upgrade as a landline that only works when you have power and wi-fi.

Ten days now without sight of a Postie in our street. I work at home so I usually spot them and wave. Loads of mail overdue, including possibly NHS letters. Complaint submitted. Service has got so bad in recent times I've had to tell some folk not to bother sending stuff. A first class recorded delivery package took over a week to arrive last month. Much of the home baking inside had went rotten.  I only use couriers for parcels now. -Ralph |

We are losing our town Post Office. Turns out that the PO screwed over the postmaster by falsely prosecuting them (re the Horizon scandal: he is *still* owed compensation) and they stopped paying him two years ago anyway!
Not long the parcels/mail service was taken away from him, which is why the local service has nosedived.
He kept it going but can't anymore.
Absoutely gutted and raging at arseholes in Post High Command. It's a community hub. Also: my wife relies on it as she is self-employed.
Local PO will now be 5 miles away.
So angry. Fuck those in charge and fuck the Tories for allowing the postal service to fall to ruin.

This is awful, and Mossley probably won't be the only place to suffer from this kind of thing. There are a lot of people who should be answering for this - not just that management who pushed the "the software cannot err" line, but also the management and the investigators who were complicit in the "subpostmasters are guilty of fraud until proven guilty" line that was prevalent.
